Busy schedule? We've got your dog training covered! Pawsitive Learning Camp is designed for families who want a comprehensive training program but don't have time for daily sessions. Your dog will learn obedience commands, games and manners through private training that always begins at your home. All sessions are approximately one hour and can be tailored to your specific needs and goals. Two visits per week (8 total): $680, Three visits per week (12 total): $960, Four visits per week (16 total): $1200. Want a longer training program? Custom packages are also available!

Pawsitiive Learning Summer Camp is a flexible program that consists of me stopping in once a day, for as many days a week, and for as many weeks, as you like. Think of it as a doggie boot camp. Teaching the "Wait" command is so important for a well-rounded dog and almost always the first thing I train a young puppy. Here’s the reasons why:

Impulse control: The “wait” command teaches a dog to pause, which improves their overall behavior and self-control.

Manners: It teaches polite behavior, such as waiting calmly before eating, exiting a crate, or greeting guests.

Safety: It preventing accidents by stopping a dog from bolting through an open door into the street or jumping out of a car before it’s safe. You can use “wait” at curbs or intersections to ensure your dog stays by your side until it’s safe to cross.

Reduces Anxiety: Giving structure to a dog’s world through consistent commands like “wait” helps anxious dogs feel more secure and calm.

Foundation for Advanced Training: “Wait” is a stepping stone to more complex commands

10 week old Freddie did great with learning "Wait." We used a plate with spray cheese smeared on it. It took us about ten minutes to have Freddie waiting beautifully when we set down the plate, dropped the plate or even kicked it across the room. As always, this was trained with Positive Reinforcement techniques. I train by making it fun so the dog wants to do the behavior. Great job buddy!

I have been dreading sharing this post because I still can't fully believe it is real. Mark (owner of the Feedbag) was one of my biggest supporters. He sent his customers to me. Over the years he became a friend and a mentor. Many times he gave me advice (being a former dog trainer himself.) My training methods are exactly what Mark believed in and he gave me the greatest gift of his trust and support. I will miss our jokes and just having him to bounce ideas off of, vent to, or talk through challenges. Please continue to support The Feed Bag Pet Supply Retail, Grooming, Dog Pool & Aquatics. It is my favorite pet store and family owned. If you haven't been there, go check them out. They even have a dog pool! Mark loved his store and his team members. Let the store live on in his memory. The last time I saw Mark was at the Tour Ozaukee Best of Oz Community Choice Awards where he won awards for his store. He stopped by my table and I gave him a big hug and thanked him for everything he has done for me over the years. I had no idea that it was the last time that I would see him. We miss you, Mark!

As many of you know our owner, Mark Haslam has been battling health issues on & off for the last few years. Unfortunately, this Tuesday (4/15) in the early morning he passed away after a brief hospital stay.
Obviously, this is a very challenging and difficult time for us personally as his employees, friends, & family. But it is also a whole new world that we are trying to navigate with the store too. We hope to have your continued help & support during this transition time and for years to come.
Mark loved this store with all he had, and he built it up from nothing to where it is today, and we plan to continue with that same passion moving forward.
