Authorized Patrons are those who are on active duty, retirees and their dependents with current ID card and Reservists on active duty orders for at least 30 days. We currently offer clinics for ill patients and patients needing vaccines, annual check-ups, and routine testing. Spays and neuters, x-rays, minor surgical procedures and dentals are performed in clinic. Assistance for overseas requireme

nts is available. Ventura County pet Licenses can be issued at our clinic. There are NO grooming or boarding services. ALL ANIMALS ARE SEEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

The Army Policy states: The Army Veterinary Treatment Facility is not intended solely for retail sales or prescription refills. Our services, products and prices are restricted to clients only. A current (annual exam) doctor-patient relationship must exist to prescribe medications and as such outside prescriptions will NOT be filled. Retail sales are for active clients only.

Just a reminder. Annual exam requirements are a standard of care, and often enforced by state and federal laws. Regarding prescribing and dispensing of medications.

For example, an owner cannot go to “ABC vet” for an annual exam to get a prescription and then take that prescription to “XYZ vet” to get it filled without having seen their vet. You can only take a prescription to another active pharmacy such as Costco, chewy, Sam’s Club, etc. for this prescription to be filled.

Please keep this in mind when filling prescriptions for your pets or trying to find cheaper options.
