Meet Bentley! Bentley visited VetSurg for a right TPLO surgery performed by Dr. Ludwig, and we’re happy to share that his procedure went great! He’s now entering Stage 1 of the recovery process, which means that strict confinement and very limited activity is crucial while his knee begins to heal. We’ll be seeing Bentley soon for his re-check and suture removal. Good luck on the road to recovery Bentley!

Meet Watson! A 7-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who underwent surgery in July to repair a complex right tibial fracture that involved both of the growth plates at the top of the tibial bone below his knee. He came in recently for his re-check and we’re happy to report he is moving around well, however still on the road to recovery. Since Watson is still growing, we’ll continue to monitor his healing closely- particularly his growth plate damage to assess his normal skeleton development. Deformity can occur with growth plate fracture and sometimes needs to be surgically addressed. Keep up the good work, Watson!

Meet Thanos, a 19-week-old Cane Corso who recently experienced an accident that left him with multiple injuries to his hind-end.

He came to VetSurg with dislocations of both sacroiliac joints, along with fractures in his acetabulum , femoral head and tibia.

His recovery involved five complex surgical repairs, performed in two intensive sessions by Dr. Webb and Dr. Holsworth, who worked side by side to give Thanos the best possible outcome.

Now, just two weeks post-op, Thanos is already showing promising improvement in his mobility - a true testament to his strength and to the incredible Teamwork of everyone involved in his recovery at VetSurg! 💙

Meet Hercules! 🐾 This sweet young Saint Bernard injured his femoral growth plate while playing at doggy daycare. Dr.Webb was able to repair the fracture, and Hercules is walking well these days! We’re wishing him all the best as he finishes the last stages of his recovery.
