Today, one of our incredible foster volunteers, Carolina Mendez, went above and beyond for Bailey. With her military deployment starting soon, she still made time to drive 4 hours each way from Jacksonville to Arcadia to deliver him herself safely into the arms of his forever family. 💕

Our rescue is powered by people like her—selfless, dedicated, and full of heart. We are so grateful for all our fosters and volunteers who make happy endings like Bailey’s possible.

When a dog goes PENDING on our website, it means an adoption is in progress. We have a 2 week trial period, at which time, we email those who did not get the dog. They are able to then email: [email protected] to request their app be moved to another dog. Those who work with the process, generally end up with just the right dog! Please read the FAQS page to learn more important details about our adoption process!

Meet Pickle! 🥒 This 6-year-old, 9-pound dachshund is full of life and love. Known as the “little mayor” of his foster home, Pickle makes friends with everyone he meets—dogs big and small, kids (best with ages 8+), and all the humans he comes across.

He’s playful, snuggly, and absolutely obsessed with tennis balls 🎾. Pickle is great on walks (but he will chase lizards and squirrels🦎🐿️), enjoys car rides, and loves adventures with his people. He’s mostly house-trained and is improving every day.

🀄Handsome Javier, senior dachshund, has received an EXCELLENT overall report from the vet 👩‍🔬Unfortunately, he has a mouth full of rotten teeth 😁The dental estimate is $2000 and vet says that it can improve his quality of life and most likely serve to EXTEND his otherwise healthy and happy life 🙏 Please help us raise the $2000 needed for his dental surgery at Live Oak Animal Hospital - no fees with our nonprofit platform https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/javier-medical

Meet Ariel! This 5-year-old, 12 lb dachshund is as sweet as she is playful! Ariel LOVES ball time, cuddles, car rides, and being with her person—she’s the ultimate velcro dog. She does great with kids, enjoys walks, and is house trained.

📌Ariel needs to be the only dog or live with submissive males (no female dogs). She’s looking for a family who will give her all the love!

Meet Arthur! This 2-year-old, 8-pound Dachshund mix is a total lovebug. He adores cuddles, gets along with dogs (big & small), cats, and kids of all ages, and loves meeting new people! Arthur is crate trained, p*e pad trained, and great on walks. He’s still working on potty training but making progress.
