Turf and planting beds want opposite things, and one zone cannot give them both.
Turf wants broad, even coverage across the whole surface. That is what spray heads and rotors are built for.
Beds want water at the base of specific plants. Not on the mulch. Not on the foliage. Not on the wall behind them.
Run spray heads through a bed and you wet everything except the roots that needed it, and you keep leaves damp longer than they should be.
Drip and micro-irrigation put water where the plant actually takes it up.
Since 1990 across Sarasota and Charlotte counties.
