💕🐾 CAN WE COME OVER FOR A SLEEPOVER? 🐾💕

Hi! We're Rondo and Sable, and we have a teeny-tiny favor to ask.

Could we stay at your house for a little while? 🏡❤️

We promise to bring our adorable faces, wagging tails, lots of love, and maybe a few unexpected kisses!

We're both wonderful with other dogs and kiddos, so we think we'd make pretty great houseguests!

And don't worry — we don't have to come together! We're perfectly happy having our own separate sleepovers. 🥰

Here's our little sleepover wish list:
🛋️ A cozy spot to curl up
❤️ Someone to love us while we wait for our forever families
🐾 A few belly rubs (okay, maybe more than a few!)

Five years later, Emilio still breaks my heart.

He and his bonded brother, Pierre, came to PFA needing help. Emilio needed urgent knee surgery. The surgery went well, but a blood clot caused an embolism and we lost him instantly.

He never got the life we planned for him, but while he was with us, he knew nothing but love.

Pierre was adopted by the family who had committed to both boys and is now living his best life, surrounded by love.

Would I do it again?

Rescue, shelter, transport, volunteer friends, does this scenario sound familiar? TRUE STORY - We move one dog from Alabama to Vermont: five drivers, five parking lots, and one manila folder holding every fact known about this animal.

Paws From Afar is starting a new chapter. 🐾

After years of hands-on rescue experience, we’re taking everything we’ve learned and using it to help make rescue easier.

We’re exploring a mobile-first platform powered by AI to streamline the rescue experience, reduce the chaos behind the scenes, and give rescue teams more time for what matters most — the animals.

And before we build, we’re listening.

We’ll be talking with rescues, shelters, fosters, transporters, and others doing this work every day to understand what’s working, what isn’t, and what they wish technology did better.

Same Paws From Afar. Same love for the animals. Just a bigger mission. ❤️

UPDATE ON THELMA AND LOUISE ❤️

When their family first reached out about surrendering them, I did not know the full story.

They were not trying to walk away from these girls. They were struggling financially and were too embarrassed to tell me how hard things had become.

Thelma and Louise are 10 years old, deeply bonded, and have spent the last five years with a family who truly wants them to stay. With help covering food, treats, and veterinary care, they can remain together in the home they know.

That is where all of us come in.
