Yesterday, Torre and Kate brought a group of veteran-dog teams to the Sheboygan Tractor Supply store for public access training. Tomorrow, we're heading back ---- and YOU'RE INVITED!

Stop by tomorrow, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to say hello, meet some of our dogs, and check out a great store that's showing our community some love. They have fun activities planned for your kids and four-legged friends, too!!

Looking Ahead and Building on 10 Years of Hope & Healing!

Last week, the Dogs2DogTags Board of Directors and leadership team came together for two days of strategic planning to reflect on how far we've come and plan for what's ahead.

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we're focused on strengthening our programs, building long-term sustainability, and creating more opportunities to serve veterans and rescue dogs.

🐾 **Meet Kate Shaw!** 🐾

As promised, we're excited to introduce a new team member at Dogs2DogTags! **Kate Shaw, our Foster & Young Dog Development Manager!**

Kate brings more than five years of experience in dog training, animal care, behavior assessment, and program coordination. Her background includes developing individualized training plans, supporting behavior modification and socialization, and helping dogs build confidence while strengthening the bond between dogs and their handlers.

In her role at Dogs2DogTags, Kate oversees the veteran-dog training classes, coordinates foster care, guides the development of our young dogs, and prepares them for the next steps in their journey toward becoming service dogs and canine companions for veterans.

Kate's experience, compassion for animals, and commitment to helping dogs thrive make her a wonderful addition to our team.

From new faces and new dogs to training classes and community events, it's been a whirlwind year at Dogs2DogTags as we celebrate our 10th anniversary! With our social media volunteer off on an exciting new chapter, we've missed sharing these moments with you. 🐾 SAVE THE DATE! The Fast & Furriest 5K/10K is coming to Palmer!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🐕

On Saturday, October 3, Tier 1 Vet and AKtive Soles Performance Footwear are teaming up for a brand-new community event bringing together dogs, families, runners, walkers, and a great cause.

The Fast & Furriest 5K/10K will start at the Palmer Depot, coinciding with the Frost Fest Winter Expo! You can choose your own adventure: run it, walk it, tackle the 5K, or take on the 10K. And yes... bring your dog! 🐾

The race also includes Dog Fest, with dog-related vendors and plenty more happening around race headquarters.

Best of all, this event has a bigger purpose. Funds raised will benefit Dogs2DogTags, an organization dedicated to pairing deserving veterans with trained dogs to provide companionship, support, and greater independence. 🇺🇸🐕
