Finally we are having some lovely summer weather- don't forget your precious furbaby is just as susceptible to sunburn as we are, where the fur is thinner especially. Avoid leaving your cat, dog, or other non-human companion in the sun without a suitable structure to escape the sun and heat at their discretion. Also, keep clean fresh water available at all times! We are finally heading into vacation season! If you are planning to travel with your dog, or if you will be boarding your dog while you travel, please consider adding the canine influenza vaccine to your vaccine check list. This vaccine is important if you are taking your dog out of state, especially to Florida, or if you participate in dog shows, where your dog will be exposed to other dogs who travel frequently.
Call us and ask us if the canine influenza vaccine is a good choice for your dog!

We have had an unfortunate number of no call/no show appointments lately. If you need to reschedule or cancel, we ask that you PLEASE let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment. If your appointment is on Monday, we ask that you please call to cancel or reschedule on the Friday before, during business hours. Leaving a message after hours Friday or over the weekend is not sufficient, as no one monitors messages over the weekend. Of course, we understand that emergencies happen, but please call or text if you cannot make a scheduled appointment, even if it is only 30 minutes prior! No-shows affect not only the doctor and staff who had time blocked off to see the pet, but also the other pets who might have been seen in the appointment spot that no-showed.
