Surrenders by APPOINTMENT ONLY call 609-485-2345. The Atlantic County Animal Shelter has a wide selection of purebred cats and dogs. When looking for a specific breed to adopt, please visit the shelter and meet with one of our adoption counselors to assist with

your search. Adoption Fees:
The following fees currently apply to the adoption of animals. Puppies and Dogs: $110.00
Fee includes vaccinations for rabies and distemper, spay or neuter, microchip, fecal test, deworming, Heartworm cite test if appropriate, and a leash. Kittens and Cats: $85.00 Additional Cat or Kitten $42.50
Fee includes vaccinations for rabies and feline distemper, spay or neuter, microchip, fecal test, deworming, feline leukemia/FIV cite test, and a cardboard carrier. The following are also available for an additional fee:
HOME AGAIN Chip when reclaiming a lost pet: $20.00
I.D. Tag: $6.00

Looking for the man of your dreams???

Slate, our 2-year-old stunning Blue Nose Mix, has been at the Shelter for over a year and is urgently looking for his new family and fur-ever home. Perhaps it’s yours!
Slate is a young athletic guy, who loves walking, running, playing with squeaky toys, and snuggling with his friends. Slate would do best in an active home; a tired dog is a good dog! He prefers calm and respectful playmates, or would do fine as the only pet in your home as well! Our boy would like nothing more than to get some exercise, play with some toys, eat some treats, and then settle in for nice snooze! Slate is working on becoming a master class snuggler!
Slate is currently neutered, up to date on vaccines and ready to “GO HOME TODAY”! Slate’s adoption fee is $55. What a deal! Come on down and meet your next best friend!
Slate is available for adoption at the Atlantic County Animal Shelter located at 240 Old Turnpike Road in Pleasantville NJ. We are open to the public from 1-4 PM, seven days a week. Phone number is 609-485-2345. Come on in and meet Slate and the rest of our adoptable pets.
