Today at WildThings:

🐾 We got tail wags, head boops, happy purrs, sloppy kisses, and more love than we could handle.

Dogs were making friends. Cats were stealing hearts. Our team? Smiling the whole way through. šŸ’•šŸ¶šŸ±

We call that a purr-fect day.
Show us your pet’s happiest face in the comments—we need a little extra cuteness to carry us through the afternoon! šŸ˜šŸ‘‡

🚨 Lost Pet Alert (Kind of…) 🧸🐓

Look what we found in the parking lot today! This brave little seahorse was discovered just outside—possibly making a great escape from the daycare across the street or maybe after a spa day at the nail salon. šŸ§¼šŸ’…

Don’t worry—we gave it the VIP treatment (bandages and all šŸ’–) and it’s safe and sound here with us at WildThings!

If this cutie belongs to your little one, come by and claim their heroic stuffed friend. šŸ¦øā€ā™‚ļøšŸ§ø

🐾 A special kind of reunion today at WildThings! 🐾

If you're from the Clarksville area, you'll definitely recognize these familiar faces—Dr. Scott Loxley and Dr. Noel Glazener !

These two incredible veterinarians worked together for many years at Dr. Loxley’s former clinic, where they built a strong reputation for compassionate, expert care. After retiring, Dr. Loxley realized he still had more to give—and we feel incredibly fortunate that he chose to spend a few days a week with us.

Dr. Glazener now joins us for relief work on Fridays, and seeing these two reconnect under our roof today was a reminder of just how lucky we are. Their friendship, shared experience, and deep love for this field bring something truly special to our team.

We’re so proud to have both Dr. Loxley and Dr. Glazener as part of the WildThings family—even if only a few days a week. Thank you both for continuing to share your knowledge, kindness, and heart with all of us.

🌟 DOZIER IS READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME 🐾

Dozier is truly one of the good ones. This sweet, older boy has been healing up like a champ after his surgery for cancer. He’s still got about two weeks of meds left, and should be able to get his stiches out next week, but he’s feeling good and full of love to give. šŸ’› While there is a chance the cancer could return, right now, he’s happy, comfortable, and thriving—and we’re hoping to find him a home where he can be loved for the rest of his days.

Dozier is a big ol’ baby at heart. He loves curling up on the couch, soaking in cuddles, and playing when you’re up for it. He’s calm, gentle, and easygoing—and an expert napper. 😓 If you need a couch buddy or someone to quietly snooze by your side, he’s your guy.

🐶 Gets along amazingly with other dogs
🐱 Very respectful and sweet with cats
šŸ‘¦ Patient and loving with kids
šŸš— Great in the car
šŸ‘‹ Not afraid of strangers—he greets everyone with tail wags and love

He truly doesn’t have a single behavioral flaw. Just an older, loving soul who wants to be someone’s shadow and snuggle buddy. šŸ’•

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion and have room in your heart for a senior dog who deserves the world, Dozier might be your perfect match.

šŸ“© Please message us if you’d like to meet him or learn more. Let’s give this boy the forever home he so deeply deserves. šŸ”ā¤ļø

ā€œWhen Fitness Meets New Entrepreneurshipā€

— blending the spirit of fitness with supporting emerging local businesses:

When Fitness Meets New Entrepreneurship: Supporting the Hustle Behind the Hustle

At CrossFit WildThing, we believe that fitness isn’t just about physical strength — it’s about community, perseverance, and lifting each other up. This Memorial Day, we had the honor of blending that spirit with something equally powerful: supporting local entrepreneurship.

Miles the founder and owner or CrossFit WildThing,a passionate entrepreneur himself knows what it takes to turn a dream into a business. He understands the long hours, the uncertainty, and the grit it requires to launch something new. That’s why this year’s Memorial Day Murph was extra special — we welcomed one of our very own members ( athlete ) Kodie, to showcase her brand new food truck: Bake n’ Soda.

Miles and Jill ( founder and owner of WildThings animal hospital ) have always been committed to highlighting rising local talent. For them, it’s more than just supporting a business — it’s about backing the people behind the brand. When small businesses support each other, entire communities thrive.
And Kodie is a perfect example of that entrepreneurial fire. Her work ethic, dedication, and delicious baked goods speak for themselves.

We’re proud that CrossFit WildThing could be part of her journey — not just as a gym, but as a launchpad for big dreams. This is what real local support looks like: small businesses showing up for each other, helping each other hit the ground running. At CrossFit WildThing and WildThings Animal hospital they do just that. Amazing owners like Miles and Jill supporting upcoming owners in the middle Tennessee area.

** To strong bodies, strong communities, and stronger futures — together. **

05/22/2025

🐾 However, we will be open for emergency cases Friday afternoon. If you have a pet emergency, please don’t hesitate to call us—we’re here for you.

Regular hours will resume Tuesday, May 27th.

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and meaningful weekend as we remember and honor the heroes who gave all. ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™

🚨 When a Cough Turns Into Surgery! 🚨

Sweet River, a 1-year-old Labrador, came to see us for a cough — but things quickly took an unexpected turn. While in the hospital, River began vomiting, and we didn’t actually hear much coughing. On exam, his belly felt uncomfortable and painful, so we recommended x-rays just to be safe.

What we found was surprising: River had swallowed a nail and several rocks! 😱 We suspected the nail might be irritating his stomach or esophagus, potentially causing that strange cough.

This case is a great reminder of why we offer and recommend diagnostics. River’s owner was understandably worried about kennel cough — but without radiographs, we never would have discovered the real issue.

Dr. Loxley performed emergency foreign body surgery and successfully removed the objects through a small stomach incision. Thankfully, there were no other complications, and River recovered smoothly under anesthesia. šŸ’ŖšŸ¾

We later found out that River’s family had been replacing their floors — and River must have thought the construction zone came with snacks. šŸ˜…

He’s now home, healing well, and already back to his happy, playful self!

Hi everyone,

We are completely overwhelmed—in the best way—by all the love, support, and shares we’ve received for our post about Dozier. šŸ’™ Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I’m currently going through all the messages this morning and will be reaching out and making calls this afternoon. Thank you for your patience—and for helping us find the perfect home for this special boy.

Please feel free to continue to PM us if you’re interested in fostering or being his forever family. We would love for him to go to one of our clients—someone we already know and trust with our whole hearts here at WildThings.

We are going to be pretty particular, but only because we want the absolute best fit for him. Thank you again for all the love!

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED 🚨
From WildThings Animal Hospital

Meet Dozier, a real-life hero and the sweetest 10-year-old pit bull you’ll ever meet. He was brought to our clinic today in need of immediate help, and our hearts are breaking for him.

This incredible senior boy once saved his owner from a house fire, alerting them just in time to escape. Now, he needs someone to be his hero.

While WildThings Animal Hospital is not a rescue and we don’t typically take in surrenders, we couldn’t turn our backs on Dozier’s story—or his sweet, gentle soul.

Dozier is neutered, fully vaccinated, and has a calm spirit. He gets along great with both cats and dogs. He has a mass on his toe that needs to be removed, and his surgery is scheduled for Monday morning.

We want to make sure he doesn’t spend the weekend in a kennel—confused and alone, after everything he’s done for others.

Here’s how you can help:
• Short-Term Foster: Just for the weekend through Monday morning.
• Long-Term Foster: Until he finds his forever home.

Let’s rally around this hero and show him the love and loyalty he’s shown others.

If you can open your heart and home to Dozier, please call us at (615) 288-5630 or message us here on Facebook.

Please share—Dozier’s hero days aren’t over yet. He just needs one now.

Please know that his previous owner truly loves him and made the heartbreaking decision to ask for help because they were no longer able to care for him safely. There was no cruelty or neglect—just a difficult situation and a very hard choice. We’re just grateful we were in a position to help, and now we’re doing everything we can to make sure this sweet boy lands somewhere full of love.
