Just a reminder, East River Veterinary Clinic - Corsica will be closed on Saturdays in July and August. The Platte clinic hours will stay the same. We will resume Saturday hours starting September 6th.

Due to the shortage of the RB51 vaccine, South Dakota
AIB is implementing the USDA's temporary extension
of the official calfhood vaccination period to 14 months

East River Veterinary Clinic

We are here to take care of your pet and large animal needs. We are located east of the Missouri River, on the east edge of Platte, South Dakota. We provide small animal in clinic services and large animal farm services. We offer preventative medicine (exams and vaccinations) and surgery, with 24/7 emergency service. Specialty services include reproductive, dental, orthopedic, and soft tissue surgery and medicine.

Dr. Haley Hoien is the owner and veterinarian at East River Veterinary Clinic. She graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She has practiced mixed animal medicine in Central South Dakota and South Western Nebraska during the past 8 years. In the spring of 2019, she decided to open her own mixed animal practice in Platte, SD.

Our Mission Statement:

East River Veterinary Clinic is compromised of dedicated and ambitious individuals, who provide exceptional care for our patients and clients in South Central South Dakota. We provide fair priced services backed by compassion, advanced education, and ethical veterinary medicine. To our clients, we provide education and assistance in all aspects of care, ownership, and public health awareness. We aim to better ourselves and our community through our services.
