Alert for Pet Owners! 🐾

With the recent drop in temperatures here in South Florida, many iguanas have fallen from trees or died due to the cold.

⚠️ Please check your yard carefully before letting your dogs outside.

Even deceased iguanas can pose serious risks to pets:
• Bites and scratches (yes—even from reflex movements)
• Salmonella exposure
• Intestinal blockages if ingested
• Injuries from sharp claws, teeth, or tail spines

Curious dogs may try to sniff, play with, or eat them — and that can quickly turn into an emergency.

If your pet has had contact with an iguana and is showing vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or signs of injury, call us right away.
