I have a customer trying to rehome this precious baby. He is a good boy and has had a lot of training just a little too protective of his parents now with a small child in the home…. He would do great in a home with possibly older children but littles stress him some.

Louis is smart, loving, goofy, loyal, handsome, strong, athletic, and high energy. He is also highly perceptive and sensitive. He has issues with resource guarding, often where we are the resource and he is overprotective of us (my wife and I). He has leash reactivity but has gone through training with the dog wizard in Chattanooga. He is house trained and knows place, heel, break, leave it, etc. He is great on leash and doesn't lunge at small animals like squirrels, birds, and rabbits. He also has great recall and is great off leash, though we minimize off leash unless we are in a safe environment. He does have leash reactivity toward other dogs if the proximity is too close. In the right environment with positive reinforcement, he can really thrive. We would go to support group and when he had a clear goal and a chance to burn off some intensity, he could walk freely with other dogs and owners without reacting. He is 50 lbs, fixed, vaccinated, and is a mix of cocker spaniel, lab retriever, Australian cattle dog, and German Shepard. His training consists of a one month foundations course and a one month off leash “freedom” course which focused on e-collar training. He went to reactivity support group and weekend support group and did well when he had a clear goal and some time to unwind.
