It is with great sadness that we share news of the untimely passing of K-9 Oxan. Oxan has been a faithful and dedicated member of the Chestertown Police Department and partner to Corporal James Walker since 2016. Oxan, we are forever grateful for your service and you will not be forgotten. Rest easy.

We love our customers!!!!! Rescues are so important to the dog industry, River a beautiful German Sheppard lacked confidence, lacked socialization and displayed her nervousness with her teeth. With the caring and fore thought of an amazing Rescue Dogs Eye biew Rescue we were able to show River that not all people are bad. She was adopted by an amazing family after extensive training.
You will never work a day in your life if you are doing something you love.

This….This right here is why we do what we do. We do it for the love of the dogs ❤️ Proper training opens so many doors for a dog. Pet, Rescue, working it doesn’t matter the more training a dog has the better chance they have at living a fulfilling safe life. We want to thank Dogs Eye View Rescue for trusting us with their pups.

Kennel Technician.

Delmarva K9 is currently looking for a positive, dependable, and compassionate kennel assistant to join our team. Applicants must be detail oriented and able to multitask. Delmarva K9 strives for top quality care provided to our customer’s pets. Excellent husbandry and attention to detail is a MUST! Customer service is a must! The care of the pets boarding here is a top priority and they must be cared for daily, including nights, weekends, holidays, and during all weather conditions. Pay is based upon your experience and your performance during your working interview. Tips will be applied to you once you pass the training process which can average an extra $4-$8/hour.
Holidays are time and a half pay Christmas is double time pay.

Requirements:

Knowledge of basic dog care and grooming such as baths and nail trims

Handling all breeds and sizes of dogs

Handling pets with anxiety and fear driven qualities

Veterinary or previous kennel experience is a PLUS!

Interest in working with customer service is a PLUS!

Weekends and Holidays are required

Job duties include:

Basic husbandry of kennels and condos
• This includes: spraying disinfectant, scrubbing surfaces, rinsing, and drying. You will be required to kneel, bend, and have full range of motion in your arms.
• Also includes: picking up p**p, urine, vomit, food, leaves, and sticks as well as removing snow and ice from runs.

Laundry service

Feeding, Watering, and Medicating

Playtimes, Nature Walks, and Additional Services
• These are performed in inclement and cold weather conditions as well as in the summer time during hot temperatures.

Ground and Kennel Area maintenance

Bathing, trimming nails, and cleaning ears

Environment -

Floors can be wet at times, recommendation of muck/rain boots

Ability to step over hoses or objects that may be in your path

Ability to lift up to 25 - 50 lbs. (food, animals, bedding, bags, and/or toys)

We work in all weather conditions: rain, snow, sleet, ice, and heat. You will be required to dress accordingly and work in these temperatures.

Job Types: Full Time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
