🐢💚 Meet our friend Shelly!

Shelly is an adult Eastern River Cooter turtle who came to The Guardian Vet Group after her owner noticed she was having some balance issues while floating. Our team took X-rays to help investigate what may be causing her symptoms, and we’re currently awaiting results. 🩻🩺

We may not know exactly how old this lovely lady is, but we do know she was one very special patient! 🐢✨

We’re wishing Shelly all the best and hoping to get her feeling balanced and back to her usual self soon! 💚

🐾💉 Brutus was a total champ at his GP visit with Dr. Wolf!

This handsome guy came in for a routine wellness appointment with Dr. Wolf and is happy, healthy, and doing great! 🐶💙 His physical exam looked wonderful with no concerns, and when it was time for his vaccines, Brutus handled them like a pro—with a little help from some very important treat distractions. 🦴😋

Regular wellness visits help us keep your pets feeling their best and catch potential concerns early. Way to go, Brutus! ⭐️🐾

Last week, we welcomed this turtle into our hospital after it suffered multiple severe shell fractures. Our team carefully cleaned and treated the injuries, started antibiotics and pain medication, and gave this little patient the care it needed to begin the healing process.

We’re happy to report this tough turtle is now on the road to recovery! 💚 Wishing our shelled friend a smooth healing journey, and we’re honored to have been part of its care.

🐾📚 Career Day Adventures! 📚🐾

Trish and Mary had the opportunity to visit a local elementary school and participate in Career Day! With the help of our training pup, Gary, they taught students about what it’s like to work in a veterinary emergency room and how we care for our patients during emergencies.

The students asked some fantastic questions and were eager to learn about veterinary medicine, emergency care, and the many ways we help animals every day. We loved sharing our passion for helping pets and inspiring the next generation of animal lovers and future veterinary professionals!

A big thank you to the school for inviting us—we had a wonderful time! ❤️🐶
