Wait, what!?
Oh bless your heart! Dogs will be dogs unless we teach them how to be house dogs in our human society. There's no long explanation on this one.
It is 100% on the human's shoulders to teach the dogs our human world expectations because the vast majority of 'problem behaviors' are actually completely natural dog behaviors.
The things they "just know" are digging, chewing, biting, scavanging, jumping up at faces, scent marking, rolling in stinky things to obscure their scent, barking at things, killing critters, chasing things, herding things, etc.
The things we have to teach them are to potty or mark outside only, we lay on couches not dig on cushions, we scavange for treats from a kibble ball not from the counter, we chase grab and disembowel TOYS not critters, we sit when people say hi, we wait patiently as humans eat their food and not steal it, etc.
If you haven't specifically taught your dog what they should do in a particular situation, it's likely they will default to the 'dog answer' and that's 100% not their fault, they are just doing what they've been bred to do for centuries.
