Isabella helping Stevie and Teddy work on their outside skills in the 5th session. Both dogs were able to hold a down with Isabella running around and between them.

Miss Ruby and her dad Brett did some really impressive work in getting over her fear of other dogs and learning to walk confidently around other people and dogs. As always there is more work to be done. But I'm super proud of this little cutie for being awesome.

5th session on leash work with Dieter. Getting ready for off leash next. Renee is just going to brush up and improve her influence before we begin the more advanced work.

When I said that you should work on lie down and stay so that when you get to a place and it feels overwhelming to your dog..they will have practiced this and understand that they are safe wherever you've asked them to be. Thisnis what that looks like here with Isabella.

Do this so they can learn that you will make sure they are OK. We practice this quite often. Just imagine how good your dog can be with a couple of guests if they practice with other dogs and other people and skateboards and bikes and loud trucks etc.. practice makes it easier for everyone.

Dieter had a good 3rd session today. Can't wait to see the progress next week.

A bit late to the posting party as usual but here is miss Ruby. She's learning to be a lot more comfortable in meeting new dogs and behaving on her leash as we progress through the second session this week.

Isabella sitting on the sea wall at the end of Pacific Beach Drive. She's focused on staying there, but also balancing just a bit. She sits there with me 50 or so feet away walking around as people on bikes and with dogs and on skateboards cruise on by. Working on doing nothing is a cornerstone to all training. Yes...nobody was in the shot here, but it's quite the busy place with lots of people coming by all day long. We work this quite often. Later we went over at sat in the lobby at to work on socialization even more with dogs and people coming and going. Always working.....

Isabella walking into a room in a new house, with a chihuahua on the couch, at least 6 cats, none of which were pleased with the new visito, Max the Aussi Shepherd and our clients Alex and Esmerelda. Chill as could be. Max did very well also, but needs a bit more work on trusting his mom. They've still got some work to do, but with the right influence, Max has come a very long way.
