Vet At Home is a house call veterinary service based in Pittsburgh, PA, providing comprehensive non-emergency care for dogs and cats in the comfort of their own home.The company was started by Dr. Angelina De Sanctis, a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. As a practitioner for more than 10 years, Dr. De Sanctis appreciated how stressed pets and their owners became when traveling to veterinary clinics, and wanted to provide a more personalized service.

Advantages of In-Home Veterinary Care:

There are many advantages to in-home veterinary care. Most animals become stressed when traveling to a veterinary clinic, which is oftentimes an unfamiliar environment with other equally stressed animals and their owners! By traveling to your home, we are able to minimize this stress and better evaluate your pet in its natural home environment. This is also beneficial for assessing and answering behavioral questions which many pet owners have.

Many geriatric pets have mobility issues, making it more difficult to transport them with ease to a clinic. Likewise, many pet owners themselves have mobility issues due to age, recovering from a recent surgery, handicap, or other cause. This can lead to owners forgoing veterinary care simply because they cannot bring their pet in for an examination. By coming to your home we can provide quality veterinary care right in the comfort of your own home, and your pet can get the medical attention it needs and deserves!
