At this time, calls from AT&T cell phones are receiving a busy signal when trying to reach our hospital. Calls from all other carriers are coming through normally.

If you have AT&T service and need to speak with us, please email us at [email protected] with your name and phone number, and we'll be happy to call you back as soon as possible.

Our phone carrier is aware of the issue and is working directly with AT&T to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Our July pet of the month is Lisa! Lisa is a 10 year old Maltese mix whose favorite snack is watermelon. During the day she loves chasing squirrels, and at night she prefers to fall asleep to soft music 😴

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Pismo Beach Veterinary Clinic will be closing early at 5:30 PM on Monday, July 20.

We will resume our normal business hours on Tuesday, July 21.

If your pet experiences an emergency after 5:30 PM, please contact PETS Hospital at 805-250-5600. Their emergency team is available to help when your pet needs immediate care.

Excited to share that we are partnering with the YMCA for a backpack drive! Bring a new or unused backpack to our office (990 Price Street in Pismo!) and it will be provided to a local child in need. Every donation helps ensure a child starts the school year with the supplies they need to be successful.

We're collecting backpacks until July 30th, and are in the office 8am-9pm on weekdays and 8am-5:30pm on weekends so you can stop by any time!

June's Pet of the Month is Cali! Cali is a 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier who loves taking her two daily walks and running errands with her mom and dad. She visited us to have her teeth cleaned, an important part of keeping your pets happy and healthy!

She's all dressed up for the Fourth of July, and wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday 🎇

A huge congratulations to our own Dr. Joel Conn for being recognized by Rotary District 5240 with the prestigious "Opportunities Await Award" for Outstanding Leadership!

Over the past year, Joel has served as Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 5240, supporting clubs throughout our region and helping strengthen Rotary's mission of service, leadership, and community impact. The award was presented by District Governor Michael Dutra during the Pismo Beach Five Cities Rotary Community Service Awards Celebration.

Rotary District 5240's theme this year, "Opportunities Await," reflects the opportunities Rotary creates to serve, connect, grow, and make a difference in our communities. Joel's leadership exemplifies those values every day, both through Rotary and throughout the Central Coast.

Exciting news!!

We have a new doctor joining our team!! Dr. Erin Wessel is the newest addition to Pismo Beach Veterinary Clinic. Born and raised in SLO county, Dr. Wessel earned a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis before moving to Scotland to earn her veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh. She has spent the last few years practicing emergency medicine at multispecialty referral centers throughout Arizona and the Bay Area. Dr. Wessel returned to our beautiful Central Coast last year, and we are so excited to have her on our team!

Every year, Pismo Beach Veterinary Clinic closes for the Pismo Beach Car Show weekend, and while we miss seeing our patients for a weekend, we always make the most of it!

This annual tradition gives our team the opportunity to come together for staff training, sharpen our skills, learn new things, and continue growing as veterinary professionals. After a day of learning, we take some time to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a little fun together as a team.

We genuinely look forward to this tradition every year. It reminds us how fortunate we are to work alongside such an incredible group of people. We truly have the best team around, and spending this time together leaves us refreshed, re-energized, and ready to continue providing the exceptional care our patients and clients deserve.
