I'm not going to blast the breeder. But honestly after a lot of thinking and crying for him I have to say something. I won't be putting her name/rabbitry on here. She knows who she is and shame on you. I've been trying to get this buck for MONTHS. Between her being wishy washy and then other times things came up we finally got him to my home. Amazing right? WRONG! I was notified by transport that his teeth were a little misaligned. By their picture I honestly just thought that they were pushing his jaw to the side on accident. That's on me for not listening to transport. They warned me about it so I'm liable for it. However breeder never once spoke of it to me. Breeder instead told transport and me that they had NEVER noticed before. Whatever. Okay. Fast forward 24 hours I get the rabbit off transport along with a doe from same breeder. Doe is in decent condition. Has slight fur mites and a little underweight and some matting. Whatever. Easy fix. Still upset but anyways.
The buck. Just looking at him makes me cry. Picking up his little body makes me cry. Hes a sr buck and is very very thin, very matted. His tail is matted all the way to the skin, infested with fur mites, the teeth are way worse than I had thought... and he has yet to eat for me. I've tried literally everything to get him to eat. I got him to drink a VERY tiny bit of food mixed in with tons of water. But even then it was so hard. He will drink a little of his water through the day but not much. He's super lethargic. Considering idk if he ate or not on transport.. for me he hasn't eaten since Thursday evening. So it's almost been a week. I've offered hay, oats, calf mana, my feed, her feed, mush, so forth and so forth. Nothing. His mouth doesn't even fully close. Considering how skinny he is I'm assuming it's been a while since he's actually fully ate.
I might be out 255 on him but I'm way more upset that he is suffering. So if I don't see any improvement within the next few days I'll be making the call to cull him. Even though I do not want to. Breeder wanted to buy him back🙄 yeah no ma'am. He's going to be here getting held daily (after I'm done with my daily animal chores as to hopefully not spread mites but if I do I got the medicine to nip that in the bud). He's going to be loved on daily. He's not going to be used for a quick paycheck.

If you know the breeder do not comment their name and rabbitry. Again I'm NOT blasting their name because that's ridiculous. Nor am I even the slightest bit upset with transport because at least here he will get the love and ATTENTION he deserves til I need to make the call or he gets better. I'm a bleeding heart for animals. I appreciate the transport for bringing him and the doe to me to so they can get adequate care.
