Mazikeen is being set up for success for any situation she might encounter. Many dogs out there lack confidence in different situations. While some might be genetic or trauma, I believe a lot of it is due to the lack of proper exposure. I love exposing my puppy’s to as many things as possible. puppyexposuretraining

Amanda and Pixel doing some excellent distance work this weekend at a trial in Chino Valley, AZ. Anyone that has done distance work knows it extraordinarily challenging. These two have put in some great work and are a wonderful team. So proud of them and they are exciting to watch.

It was great to relax and enjoy teaching this week. Wendy & Nami have been putting in a lot of distance work & it’s definitely paying off. Wendy has been doing agility for 30+ years and after winning NADAC Champs last year she wanted to try to get to the Stakes division for NADAC Champs 2027. As you can see from this run they are definitely on their way. It’s an honor to have them in class and help them achieve that goal.

You can’t do all this work on renovations and not play with your own dogs. So, Havoc & I came out to knock some rust off our distance skills this morning. If you ask him he would she’s perfect and there was no rust. Me in the other hand could use some practice on timing lol hinting at the few barks I received mid run.

SOAR had a wonderful time & was honored to be the event Show Chair, a sponsor, vendor, and competitor at JCAC’s Dog Days of Summer event in Scottsdale, AZ. We personally came home with a couple podium finishes and couldn’t be happier on how well all 5 of our dogs ran. One handler error resulting in a dropped bar push Newt (called by many Mr. Practically Perfect) a podium spot. Newt finished 4th only 3pts from the podium against some very fast and talented dogs. Many SOAR students competed at the event some of which for the very first time and made the podium. We are very proud of all our students and happy to see all their hard work pay off. Congratulations to Cayden w/ Tillie, Laurie w/ Indie, Beth w/ Dani, Wendy w/ Nami & Mazi, Brooke w/ Honor, Jaylee w/ Coal, & the SOAR students competed that dominated the Novice Biathlon podium Amanda w/ Pixel, Lyndsey w/ Booker, & Cory w/ Rocker. Also last but not least congratulations to Jen w/ Rue & Cassian for winning the SOAR raffle hope you enjoy all the stuff.
