Oh my Sweet Baloo, I took you in because no one else would due to your fear. You were fearful of everything, yet the progress you made with me over the month and a half I had you has been extraordinary. You challenged me as a trainer and as a human being taking on this type of insanely high drive and high energy breed. I am so grateful for all the lessons you taught me and all the lessons I was able to teach you. I knew that you were not meant to be in a city, you were meant to run free and be the true border collie you are. There is a reason that trainers talk so much about genetics and purpose because it’s true. There are dogs that need such a specific lifestyle and such a specific person to truly thrive. We had a hard days, but most days were filled with endless laughter and progress. I am so thrilled that you hit the jackpot and now you get to truly thrive as a border collie on your 30,000 acre home with your other herding siblings, cows, horses, and two extremely loving human beings. I am that person that believes everything happens for a reason, and I know that you were meant to be a part of my life. Thank you for everything you taught me and I cannot wait to see you THRIVE for the rest of your life. Dogs have always been my calling, and I’m never going to stop. Thank you for being my 39th Foster, and being one of the hardest ones I’ve had lol. I’m so excited to see what your future holds. Shout out to Arizona border collie rescue for being so supportive and such great volunteers and helping me find the most perfect home for him. I could not have done it without you. I hope I can can continue to encourage people to foster dogs (maybe not a dog like this one lol), and show just how rewarding it is, how much joy it can bring into your life, and how much it can make you grow as a human being. Also bonus, you get to save a life and make the new family extremely happy!
