Dreamer and Tonka made some enormous strides yesterday! This will become the norm now. After taking all the time they needed to build trust with us, they now will accelerate at a rapid pace with everything we try.

We are starting to work on my YouTube channel, which we have not been very active with. It is like digging through basement boxes of stuff you forgot you had! The page is still not organized but this gem is to good not to share now!
If you don"t know, mom and I have been nomads since 2019, I was 10 years old when we started. 4 years ago we attempted to through ride the Centennial Trail in South Dakota. We only made it 3 days, but we did go back the following year and did all 123 miles.

This video shows how we looked when we started (Kaya and Hettewuti are no longer with us). The message is start your dreams where you are, with what you have. This is actually our second pack trip. The first one we strapped LL Bean bags to Wuti!

A couple things to mention. 1. the first camp spot was an emergency stop for safety and not a permitted camp location. 2. we were using treeless saddles and lost a d ring on one of the packs. 3. I was too little to really be much help. it took mom hours every morning and afternoon to set up camp, care for the horses, dogs and us. The milage goal would never be reached. 4. special thanks to for picking us up when we tapped out.

•the silent auction will take place on Sunday, March 30th, 2025.
•the morning of the 30th you will email your final bid amount.
The auction is NOT live
•your bid will include, the mustangs training till the day of transport, a 4 day training session with us and the mustang to learn how to work with them, a negative coggins and health certificate, a visit to Dr. Tomas Teskey a whole body holistic dentist and veterinarian.
•you are allowed to bid on both horses and only take one.
•you can pickup anytime in April.
•pickup will be in Sedona, AZ

Come along for a 6.5 mile ride along Little Rock trail, Bell Rock loop, between Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte and Single Track bypass.

Mom, Joker, Zorro and Sisu took off on a ride yesterday. Saturdays are my day off and Puck and I stayed home and relaxed.

Who did you predict I would halter first?
The answer is in this post!
When you pick up a Mustang at the BLM, you have the option of having them haltered before they’re loaded in the trailer or not. We never choose to have them haltered. It’s a very traumatic experience where they’re in the chute, unable to move and halters are forcibly put on their head. Often with a short drag rope. This certainly sets them up to have haltering and having their head touched to be a very negative experience. Dreamer was adopted once, briefly, before us. We’re quite sure this was done to her. Tonka was sent to a Mustang makeover with a group of other horses. He was never used and never handled, but we suspect he may have had a halter put on Before shipping. Simply because he has always avoided having his head touched, while we can touch every other part of his body. We’ll never know, and it doesn’t really matter. Taking it slow in building. Their trust is the only way regardless .
