So much fun was had tonight with some truly incredible Hoopers teams! Watching these dogs and handlers work together, build confidence, and grow their skills is always such a rewarding experience. There were lots of smiles, great teamwork, and some really nice moments out on the courses tonight.

I’m so proud of everyone for the effort, progress, and enthusiasm they brought to class. Whether teams were learning new skills or sharpening existing ones, every dog and handler had successes worth celebrating.

Here are pictures of just a couple of the awesome teams from tonight’s Hoopers Trial!

Parker’s practice session at Ace’n Agility this past week definitely paid off!

This weekend, Parker went into the obedience ring and absolutely shined—earning 1st place both days of the competition!

Congratulations to Parker and Katie Jo on an amazing weekend!

People typically attend agility trials to test the skills they’ve been working on in training. Trials can help handlers identify where their dogs are strong, where communication may have broken down, and what areas may need additional work moving forward.

Handlers are usually very aware of what happened during their run. They know when a cue was late, when a line fell apart, when their dog struggled, or when their training needs improvement. That’s part of the learning process and growth that comes with the sport.

Because of that, unsolicited training advice is rarely necessary and can sometimes take away from the overall experience. Unless someone specifically asks for feedback or guidance, please respect that every team is on their own journey and training path.

Let’s continue to encourage one another, celebrate successes both big and small, support each other through the challenging moments, and most importantly—have fun with our dogs and enjoy the trial experience together.

Can you do a front cross? 🤔🐾

Front crosses are ESSENTIAL! This move can be used in almost any agility course. They’re one of the first directional changes you’ll learn in our handling classes! A front cross involves changing the handling side in FRONT of your dog (hence the name!). 👈😀👉 From left to right or right to left!

Check out some of our advanced teams working their front crosses in a mini course designed specifically to practice this move! 👏👏👏

How many front crosses did you count?!
