The 2026 National Cocker Championships should finish today with the 5th series and water portion of the trial followed by the awards and announcing the winner.
100 started the competition- 22 dogs made it through to the 5th series. Of those 22 dogs:
5 are handled by Richard Whelan
5 are handled by Jason Givens
4 are handled by Ralph Botti
3 are handled by Tom Ness
2 are handled by Dan Murray
and
3 handlers have 1 dog left in the fight.
Of the dogs that I was personally rooting for:
"Tina" FC Fenloch Brigand of OVWS made it through the 2nd series
"Tom" (Mother is FC Fenloch Sinergy) made it through the 1st series
"Coulee" (Father is Fenloch Forge) made it through the 3rd series
Also was rooting for friend's dogs:
"Jaye" and Andrea Mahorney who made it through the 3rd series
and
"Gus" and "Monty" who are going to the 5th series today!!
