Please note: I do not place pups in homes by color or cuteness, nor as pets. You will be asked to provide a detailed email in order to figure out which litter/ pup(s) in a litter would best suite your needs, expectations, and household.
This helps ensure that the pup is happy, trained, has a job that utilizes its genetically inherited "purpose"- that energy, prey drive, and need to work that makes them the breed that they have been for the last 200 yrs.
I ask that you be honest as to your lifestyle and what you can actually deal with on a daily basis in regards to the time and effort you have to train and do activities with the dog. Because if you "need" a Buick type- easy to maintain, reliable, easy to "drive", but insist on a Ferrari that will require you to be literally on your toes all the time, require a lot of maintenance training and activities wise, and likely too much dog for your wants/needs, then you and the dog will end up miserable with each other.
All working cocker pups are cute. And color doesn't "hunt". The only condition I take into consideration is the gender- and that is only due to multi dog households where I have to take the other dog into consideration in order to integrate the pup into the household successfully.
If you are forwarding photos of the pups or tagging others in the photos or videos- please be sure that they know that I have expectations and criteria of my own like I just listed above. I do not deal in a "first cash wins" nor do I believe that just because someone you know has a working bred cocker that you should get one too. Remember- those adult dogs that you see are already trained. An untrained 8-10 wk old puppy is a whole other story.
My job as a breeder is to ensure that the pup gets into the right hands where it will excel and be merry little dog that the breed is known for. And for the family that gets one of my pups to be thankful that I put in the time and work to make sure that they are successful.
I also want to thank every one of my puppy owners to date. You have been wonderful and I really love hearing from you and all of the photos and videos that you send.
And for potential owners- if I do not have what you are looking for or need, I will try to put you in contact with other reputable breeders that might. So please send me that detailed description of your "ideal" dog. And I'll do my best to help you get what you need.
