Meet Cooper, a 2-year-old Cocker Spaniel weighing 24 pounds! This sweet boy can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with patience, time, and the right people by his side, he has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. Giving Cooper the space he needs to feel safe and comfortable will help him build trust and confidence at his own pace.

Cooper has done well with other dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion in his new home. He does have a secure fence requirement to provide him with a safe space to explore and enjoy the outdoors.

If you’re willing to give a shy pup the time and understanding he needs to settle in, Cooper could be a lovely addition to your family!

🎃 Meet Sam: The Friendliest Face on the Trail 🥾

Sam is a 6-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix with a sweet personality and a serious love for adventure. This handsome boy is dressed head to toe in black, which makes him the most effortless Halloween costume in the shelter. 🦇

He's happiest when he's part of the fun, whether that means heading out on a hike or flopping down with his people after a big day of exploring. Crunchy leaves, crisp air, and a trail winding into the woods? Sam is already at the door. 🍂

Sam is food motivated and eager to engage with his people, which makes him a fun partner for continued training and bonding. Treats are his favorite kind of candy, and he'll work for them like a champ. He walks well on a leash and would love a family who enjoys getting outside to hit the trails, explore new places, and make memories together. 🍬

Sam enjoys playing with other dogs after a proper introduction, and he can do well as the only dog in the home or with canine siblings. He doesn't require a fenced yard thanks to his good leash skills, but he absolutely loves stretching his legs and showing off his zoomies whenever he gets the chance. 🐕💨

What Sam needs in a home:

Meet Bentley, a 4-year-old Miniature Poodle weighing 17 pounds! This sweet boy enjoys spending time with people and would love a home where he can build a bond with his family and enjoy their companionship.

Bentley currently has a secure fence requirement, as he will benefit from having a safe space to explore and enjoy his outdoor time. He is also dog selective at this time, and we plan to retest him to learn more about his compatibility with other dogs.

🎃 Meet Cheyenne: The Shiba Who Runs His Own Haunted House 🦊

Cheyenne is a 10-year-old male Shiba Inu who weighs 22 pounds. He's a handsome boy with a big personality packed into a little frame, and he knows exactly how good he looks. 🍂

He's a people-pleaser, if you bring snacks. Cheyenne is friendly with people and loves spending time with his humans, especially when treats are involved. He's very food motivated, which makes getting to know him and teaching him new things fun and rewarding. Pockets full of treats are basically a Halloween costume he'll love. 🍬

He's got that classic Shiba independence. Cheyenne is dog selective and would prefer to be the one and only dog in the home. He may be able to coexist with a calmer dog who respects his personal space and boundaries, but an in-person meet and greet at our shelter will be required. This guy has opinions, and he's not afraid to share them. 👑

He's an adventure buddy. Cheyenne walks well on a leash and loves getting out and about with his people. Whether it's a crisp fall walk or a stroll through crunchy leaves, he's ready to go. 🍁

What Cheyenne needs in a home:
- 🐕 Ideally, to be the one and only dog (or a calmer dog who respects his space, pending a meet and greet)
- 🧡 A family who will spoil him and provide patience, structure, and positive guidance
- 🦮 A secure, properly fitted harness and a tracker provided by the shelter, required for him to go home safely
- 🍖 A treat stash, because motivation is everything

Ice is an 8-year-old Husky weighing 47 pounds, and this sweet girl is ready to find her forever adventure buddy! She has a calm, steady personality with an independent, easygoing side. Ice enjoys exploring her surroundings, taking in all the interesting smells, and checking out the world at her own pace. She also loves spending time with her people and soaking up the good stuff life has to offer.

Ice is very food motivated, so treats are definitely the way to her heart! They are a great tool for building a bond, encouraging positive interactions, and showing her that new experiences can be fun. She walks well on leash, enjoys relaxed outings, and loves her toys. When it comes to affection, Ice likes to do things on her own terms, but during calm, low-pressure interactions, she often shows her sweet and affectionate side.

Ice gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine company. She does, however, prefer to keep her toys to herself and isn't interested in sharing her treasures. Her future family will need to provide appropriate management around toys and other high-value items, giving her space to enjoy her belongings separately from other dogs.

Because Ice enjoys her space and has specific preferences around her belongings, she will do best in a home without cats or other small animals. A secure, fenced-in yard is also required so Ice has a safe space to enjoy outdoor time, sniff around, and explore at her own pace.

Ice is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will need ongoing care, including return visits to the NMDR clinic. Her future family will need to be committed to continuing her recommended treatment and veterinary care.

Silk is a petite 9-year-old tan and white Shih Tzu who weighs just 8 pounds. She’s small enough to fit in your lap and dignified enough to make you feel like you should be wearing something fancier. 🐾

She’s the lapdog of your dreams: calm, devoted, and always up for a good snuggle. No tricks here, just a loyal little shadow who’ll happily be your sidekick for movie nights, quiet evenings, and whatever the season brings. 🍬

Silk’s heart needs some extra care, but it’s also the biggest thing about her. She’s looking for someone who will cherish her and keep up with her cardiology visits for life. In return, she’ll be your most devoted friend. 💕

Silk’s adoption fee is $250.
Silk has a heart condition and will need to be under the care of a cardiologist for life.

Meet Daisy Jane!

Daisy Jane is a 7-year-old Husky weighing 42 pounds. This sweet girl has a calm, friendly personality and is looking for a patient family who understands that she does best when given the time and space to adjust at her own pace.

Daisy Jane loves treats and enjoys spending time with her people once she feels comfortable. Like many Huskies, she also loves using her voice and isn't afraid to let you know what she has to say!

Daisy Jane has made wonderful progress with her leash skills and walks beautifully on both a leash and harness. She enjoys getting outside and exploring with her people, and continued positive experiences will help her build even more confidence.

Daisy Jane has done well with other dogs during her time at the shelter. If you have a resident dog and are interested in adopting Daisy Jane, our team can help facilitate an in-person meet and greet to see how they get along and help determine if they would be a good fit for one another.

🎃 Meet Samantha: Brave Little Heart, Zero Tricks 🏴‍☠️

Samantha is an 8-year-old Shih Tzu who weighs 17 pounds. She's still learning that the world can be a safe, comfy place, and every day she's collecting more proof. Think of her as a gentle girl with a pirate's spirit, minus the parrot and the plank. 🦜

Trust is her treasure, and it's worth the hunt. Samantha is still learning to trust people, so she'll need patient adopters who are happy to let her set the pace. Give her time, consistency, and lots of positive experiences, and she'll show you she's worth every minute. 🍬

She's a fearless navigator. Samantha has had one of her eyes removed, and she hasn't let it slow her down one bit. She enjoys life and finds her way around like a pro. Honestly, it's the most "ready for Halloween" look in the shelter, and she wears it with total grace. 🌙

She needs a first mate. Samantha finds comfort in the company of other dogs, and a friendly, confident canine companion in the home is required. A buddy helps her feel more secure and encourages her to come out of her shell.

She's a leash-skills overachiever. Samantha has made great progress and now walks well with people she trusts, especially when a canine friend leads the way. Until she's more confident walking independently, she needs a securely fenced yard.
