Meet Spinach - A Timid Girl with a Gentle Spirit

Spinach is a 6-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who weighs just 9.5 pounds. She's a very shy girl who is still working on feeling safe around people and new experiences. Handling and touch are still quite scary for her, but with time and a calm, supportive environment, she's slowly starting to adjust.

Though people make her nervous, Spinach finds comfort in the company of other dogs and will need a confident canine companion in the home to help guide her. She tends to hang back at first, but she watches everything with quiet curiosity and is beginning to take in the routines of home life.

Spinach is looking for an experienced adopter who will give her the space and support she needs to build trust. With patience and another pup by her side, she has the potential to blossom into a more confident and comfortable dog.

Meet Gus - A Gentle Little Guy Learning How to Trust

Gus is an 8-year-old, 9.5-pound Miniature Schnauzer who's just starting to explore the world beyond his comfort zone. He's a nervous boy, but he's showing small, meaningful signs of progress as he begins to learn that people can be kind and patient.

Gus loves other dogs and feels most at ease when he's around them. A confident canine friend will be essential to help guide him and show him that the world isn't so scary. While he's still unsure around people, Gus will take chicken from your hand-as long as it's placed flat on the ground first. It's a small step, but one we're very excited about.

He's also working on getting used to being picked up with a towel and is starting to tolerate gentle handling in short sessions. He'll need an experienced adopter who understands fearful dogs and can continue helping him learn that human contact can be safe and positive.

Because of his sensitivity, Gus will need a second meet and greet prior to adoption to help him build comfort with his new family before heading home.

With time, consistency, and another dog by his side, Gus has the potential to grow into a more confident companion. He's a sweet, sensitive little pup who just needs the right environment to feel secure enough to blossom.

Penelope is a 7-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who weighs 19 pounds and brings a quiet sweetness to every moment. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her a little time-and maybe a piece of chicken-and you'll quickly see her warm, affectionate side start to shine.

Queso is an 8-year-old neutered male Miniature Poodle weighing 12 pounds. This sweet little guy may be shy and sensitive at first, but beneath his cautious exterior lies a gentle heart ready to learn what it means to be loved. Queso has not had much experience with people, so new situations can feel overwhelming, but with patience and kindness he will begin to show his softer, more trusting side.

One of Queso's greatest comforts is the company of other dogs. He absolutely adores them and looks to them for reassurance, which is why he will do best in a home with a calm, confident canine companion to guide him. Having another dog by his side will not only help him feel secure, but will also show him how to navigate daily life as part of a family.

Queso is searching for a quiet, patient home where he will be given the time and space he needs to blossom. Consistency, a gentle approach, and understanding will be the keys to helping him build confidence and settle in. In return, Queso has so much love to give, and watching him grow into himself will be an incredibly rewarding experience for his adopter.
