Let your dog be a dog.
Look, I don’t love shave downs. We talk about it in the salon quite a bit, if we don’t have a fluffy fun haircut for a couple days we almost get bored because we can’t push our creative boundaries as much. And let’s be real, fluffy cuts are our specialty around here.
That being said……
If your dog loves playing outside, take ‘em short.
Can’t keep ‘em out of the pool? Take ‘em short.
Don’t have time to brush them out with your busy summer schedule, sports, vacations, and fun? Take ‘em short.
If it’s what’s in the dogs best interest, I’m all for a short cut.
Please don’t take this as a dig, whether you keep your dog long or short. That’s not what this is.
Brecken, pictured here, was a fluffy boy his whole life. His parents moved and now he has all the land he wants to romp and play. Instead of keeping him long and getting burrs and mats, the owner was like cut him short, he just wants play and be outside, I’m just gonna let him be a dog.
And I couldn’t agree more. 💛
Plus, look how cute he is, even with a short cut. Love you Brecken
