We are still looking for more midday help! We are looking for someone who

- is available M-F from 10-3
- is 18 years or older
- has pet experience, though not a requirement. We will train you!

Hours each day and week are dependent on how many clients we have scheduled. This is a very part time job, just picking up walks and visits on our busiest days. As we continue to grow, there is opportunity to gain a more consistent schedule weekly, if you’d like.

This is perfect for someone who is retired, stay at home moms, or anyone looking to just get out of the house here and there for supplemental income. What better way than to get some steps in with some sweet pups, or snuggle some kitties?? 🥰🐶🐱

- Available M-F 10am-3pm
- 18 years or older
- Experience in the pet industry preferred, but not required. We will train you to our pet care standards either way 🥰

🌡️ Heat Index Alert for Tazewell County! 🐾🐄🐎

With dangerous heat and high humidity, the heat index can be much higher than the actual air temperature—and our animals feel it too.

🐶 Pets:
• Always provide fresh, cool water.
• Make sure they have access to shade or air conditioning.
• Avoid walks during the hottest part of the day (typically 11 AM–6 PM).
• Never leave pets in a parked vehicle—not even for a few minutes!

🐄 Livestock & Horses:
• Ensure constant access to clean, cool water.
• Provide shade and good ventilation whenever possible.
• Limit handling, transport, and strenuous activity during peak heat.
• Watch for signs of heat stress, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or lethargy.

🌡️ If the heat index climbs above 100°F, animals can develop heat-related illnesses quickly. Check on your pets, livestock, and neighbors who may need assistance caring for their animals.

🐾 Helping lost pets find their way home 🏠❤️

If you find a lost pet, you can open Google Maps and search “microchip scanning station for pets”. Most veterinary clinics and shelters also can scan for a chip and help contact the owner.

Here’s an example map with two local scanner locations circled in red so you can see how simple it is to locate help in our area. 📍

Save this tip! You never know when you might help reunite a family.

Last weekend, a few of our team members got together and volunteered at PCAPS in Peoria. We took a few of their pups out of the kennel and on an adventure. We all had a blast catching up, and the dogs loved their time outside getting ALL the smells, watching squirrels, and getting some love 💕

All 3 of the pups were well- behaved on leash, and HUGE sweethearts! If you’re in the market for another pup, consider one of these cuties, or maybe one of the others up for adoption at PCAPS 🐶🩷

Weekend Evening team member
- Saturday & Sunday evenings from 4-10pm

Midday team member
- M-F 10:00- 3:00 for our Peoria routes

Back up midday team member
- This position serves as a back up for when our sitters’ schedules get full. This person would cover all “overflow” on those busier days.
