I havent posted an update on Tucker lately so.....here goes

Tuck is just amazing. Everything we throw at him he takes, and is such a great patient. A couple weeks ago, Tucker graduated to wearing a foot pad and removing all his wrap. Swelling is gone, there is no evidence of remaining infection, he is walking more sound every day, and is loving life. The crack is still huge, but his hoof wall is growing, the crack is healing, he has walking support, and he is a happy boy. He had all 4 feet trimmed up, and the vet feels he has made amazing progress. When Tuck needed more experienced care, we jumped into action to get him where he needed to go.

Tucker would like to ask for donations to help with his medical bill. He really doesnt want to stand on a corner with a sign around his neck asking for help. 🤣

For those that have donated, Thank you. Every dime, every share, every prayer helps.
His balance as of today is 3864.23. That's a big chunk, but less than the 5500.12 that it was.

Meet Cheyenne, an older boy, and a kill pen save that had a horribly rough start. We worked with his injuries, and got him in the perfect home. His mom says he is an amazing horse, and Im sure the young lady showing him all the love would agree. Cheyenne was not run through an auction, he was sent directly to the lot. He has his second chance because we bailed him. It makes my heart full knowing he is loved and treasured by his family.

Because Cheyenne did not run through a sale, how would he have been saved????
The constant bickering between those that feel you should not support bailing horses from a kill pen, and the ones that do it is mind boggeling to me. I believe in differences of opinion, the first amendment, individual rights, and people being able to be mature enough to be different and still be professional. I have never... (probably never will) understand the reason that groups who disagree with supporting kill pens find it necessary to verbally or otherwise attack people that do.
If you dont support KP bailing, dont do it, pretty simple. Go back to one of the rules you learned in kindergarten, and mind your business. Do some research and find out how many of the auction houses you are so fond of are in business with, partnered with, or partially owned by kill buyers. And for the love of God, quit putting your opinion over the life of an animal. Last I knew it was the life you save that mattered not where it came from.
Rant over.....

Im not sure how many on this page are following the story on this con artist, but for those that are, and those that have been affected by her, we have somewhat of a victory today.
After 2 years of postponements, reassignments, accidents, and anything you can imagine. Yesterday was to be a sentencing for the evil and harm done to so many. Watching this unfold, and being disheartened so many times, this was going to be our day. I guess in a way it was. Although I can't go into details due to all the legal issues remaining, and I really dont look forward to more waiting, I do look at this as a win for all the horses and people involved.
For all the LV horses that were affected by this evil being and others, know we wont quit, as long as I am breathing, I will never stop seeking justice for our horses. May today be the beginning of many more "wins"

🐎UPDATE #2🐎
Tucker continues to do well with the new care plan. We have seen positive hoofwall growth, and that is a good thing. More pics too. 🙂
We would like to thank all the people that have donated to his care, it's a long uphill battle, but we have no intentions of giving up. Please donate, share, and continue showing love for Tucker.

🧡 UPDATE ON TUCKER 🧡
As many of you know, we posted a fundraiser for Tucker and his foot. Thank you SOOOOO much to all that donated so far.
I am struggling to update that fundraiser, so I am making this post to keep everyone updated. It's easier to add updates to.

Tucker has been transfered to a new veterinarian that is highly experienced in these types of foot issues, and he has been referred to a farrier that specializes in draft horse feet and "cracks".
Yesterday saw the bulky foot wrap removed, the soft hoof pieces cut away, the wound scrubbed, and antibacterial poultice applied. Tuck was then wrapped in a smaller lighter wrap that allows him to move more like a horse, and isnt heavy.
His prognosis was upgraded from guarded to good.

This is all fantastic news, and we are thrilled, but we NEED your help. As of yesterday's visit, Tucks vet bills have exceeded 5. 0. O. 0. and we simply cannot do this alone. We need a village, and Tuck needs all the support he can get to continue on his healing journey.

For those of you that have never met Tuck, ask anyone who has. His heart is as big as he is. He loves everyone he meets and his big soft eyes just light up when anyone approaches him. He is young at barely 7 years old, and sweet as can be. He needs all of us.

No amount is too small, it all adds up and takes us just one step closer to getting him continued care, and back to 100%.
Every single dime helps, every share, every like, every prayer. He has come so far, and has been such a good patient.
Please help us continue to help Tucker.
