IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SCHEDULE PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY and please be aware that this clinic consists of a vet, a tech and a volunteer and our prices reflect this. We do not have a receptionist. Emails and inquiries are answered mostly by the tech when she’s not in surgery so please be patient and keep trying to get scheduled if your first attempt isn’t answered immediately. It’s just as easy to send another email as it is to complain that you haven’t been answered😊

We need specific information to get you scheduled and your appointment will be delayed when we have to ask for more information. Please do not send multiple emails within 7 days. This frustrates Dina and you may never get scheduled🤣.

Please put CLINIC and what you are trying to schedule in the subject line (male kitten, 2 female rabbits, 30 pound male dog)

The following information needs to be in the email:

Your full name address and phone number.

The name of your pet(s), their age and s*x and description/color.

The services you would like to schedule for such as cat spay, vaccines and microchip, rabbit neuter, feral cat neuter. We can add services at the time of checkin but the more information we have the better we can serve you.

Important Update to our Operations -

Starting October 1 2025, we will be going from weekly interview calls to monthly/ad hoc interviews. At the end of September we will announce our day in October people can sign up for using our Calendly link for a general adoption interview. We will only be taking general adoption interviews on that day.

All other interviews will be conducted ad hoc based on dogs we have in foster and are actively seeking a home for. These dogs will have their bio posted to the page, and a certain amount of spots will be given to those who fit the criteria of that specific dog.

If you are interested in fostering, please use our Calendly site to book a call. We will continue taking foster home applications on an ongoing basis and conducting those interviews accordingly.

If you have a call booked for the month of September, your call will still go on as scheduled. Please assure to arrive to the zoom call on time. If you want to cancel, please give as much notice as possible. No-shows to booked interviews could result in future interview/adoption requests being denied.

An absolutely tragic story in the animal/vet med community today.

RIP Dr Semanchik. We never had the privilege of working with her, but by all the beautiful things people have been saying - it sounds like she was truly an amazing person. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her boyfriends family and friends 💔

💔 It is with heavy hearts that we share with our clients and community the tragic passing of our beloved Dr. Lauren Semanchik. Not only was Lauren a phenomenal veterinarian, she was one of the kindest souls you could ever encounter and a friend to us all.

While we have much more we can say regarding our thoughts, feelings and heartfelt stories of Dr. Semanchik, we will take a moment with our staff to navigate through this unprecedented process and remain closed this week, reopening on MONDAY 8.11.25.

We ask for patience as our Long Valley Animal Hospital family mourns this devastating loss.
One of our team members will reach out directly if you had an upcoming appointment with us this week. We will share information regarding donations in her honor and a memorial in the near future.

Please welcome Mr Squid to our rescue!

Mr Squid was compassionately surrendered to Tuxedo Hearts after his owner had to take a job that requires a lot of travel. He knew it was best for Mr Squid to be in a situation with someone who was home and able to care for him.

He’s a super sweet boy, 6 years old. We are getting to know him as he decompresses. But please send this sweet boy a warm welcome!

Congratulations to Bonnie and her family on their adoption of Queenie!

Bonnie is a previous adopter with a true heart of gold. She adopted Ellie from us. An older, retired breeder Mama who had health issues. Bonnie gave Ellie such a beautiful life for the 3 short years they were together. Bonnie shared with us the news that she had passed away in May. Our hearts just broke for her. We told her that when the time was right, and her heart had some time to heal.. we were here and would find her another beautiful furbaby.

Then Miss Queenie came along. A shy, timid girl. She is one of the sisters of Bear and KC who we recently rescued from a domestic violence situation. Queenie definitely needed to learn how to come out of her shell.. and we knew that Bonnie’s home would be the perfect place for her. Bonnie has so much experience with dogs like Queenie. When they met it was love at first sight. And we knew while there’s never replacing a beloved furbaby, that Queenie would help fill a void in her heart.

We look forward to seeing the beautiful life Queenie will have 🩷

Congratulations to Molly on your adoption of Poppi NKA Penny!

You might have read about Poppi’s story in our previous post. But this little lady was a breeder Mama. We have no idea how many litters she had before she came to us… but they were done with her in Lancaster. So as always, no Mama left behind!

When she and her sister arrived, their eyes were completely gunky from an untreated infection. We had spent a few weeks making her eyes better.. and then her foster Mama noticed she was looking different.. and brought it to our attention she thought she could be pregnant…

A quick trip up to Stockton Dr Charlie & Dr Day confirmed, she was pregnant!!! And at this point was towards the later part of the pregnancy. Did you know that the approximate gestation period for a dog is 60 days?! Much shorter than humans!!

On Memorial Day, Dr Charlie performed a c-section and delivered Poppis babies. Mom and babies were perfect!

Natalie, Poppi and the baby’s amazing foster Mama took such good care of everyone. Natalie works at a veterinarian hospital and at the hospital Poppi NKA Penny met her new Mommy, Molly!

Molly fell in love with Penny as she got to know her. Molly would come in on her days off to help Natalie with mom and the babies. We are so grateful for all she did to help. When she expressed interest in adopting her, we knew Penny was meant to be hers. So on Molly’s birthday, we surprised her with the exciting news that she would become Penny’s new Momma once she was ready to be adopted. In this post you’ll see the pictures of the day we surprised Molly on her birthday! The best FaceTime we’ve ever done!

Congratulations Molly and Penny! Truly a happily ever after story!!! 🩷🩷🩷

Some of you may know our new friend NorEasterNick.. He and his husband Brandon adopted sweet Dewey from us this weekend! And today, Dewey helped Dad with the Wake-Up Call! I think Dewey has a future in weather forecasting 😉

Congratulations to our families who have adopted Poppi’s litter. This weekend 5 of the 6 puppies went home to their loving furever homes! We are so happy to see some of our families back to add a new baby 💙 and so happy to have some new members to the Tuxedo Hearts Family!

These babies were quite the surprise to us. If you remember, Miss Poppi was a breeder Mama from Lancaster PA. When she came to us her eyes were gunked over infected… she clearly had been so neglected. But not only did she have an eye infection, a few weeks into her stay with us our foster Mama Jen suspected she was pregnant! And her instincts were spot on!

Memorial Day weekend these beautiful babies were born. And now, 8 weeks later they are home!

Sweet Beanie girl is still looking for the perfect home to call her own. We take the placement of our dogs very seriously and always are searching for the right match. While sweet Beanie girl has gotten some love, it just hasn’t been the right fit.. and we know that perfect home is out there.. waiting for her! 💕
