Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of pets and people by taking in and placing homeless companion animals, encouraging and supporting spay/neuter, providing community outreach to ensure proper animal stewardship, and promoting rational and effective animal care and control policies at all levels of government.

💙 Meet Buzzy! The sweetest little guy with a whole lot of love (and absolutely NO tail)! 😂

Buzzy came to us as a stray and took quite a while to come out of his shell. He's still a little shy when meeting new people, but once he decides you're his person, get ready for some serious snuggle time! 🥰

We're talking head bumps, cozy cuddles, and even putting his paws on your shoulders to pull himself in a little closer. And when Buzzy is REALLY happy? He does happy paws... in really slow motion 😅 It's pretty much the cutest thing ever! 😍

Buzzy is a gentle, mellow guy who would thrive in a quiet home where he can take his time settling in and let his sweet personality shine! 🌟 Shelter life hasn't been the easiest for him, as some of the other cats tend to pick on him 💔 He's perfectly fine with other cats, but would need a sweet, easygoing feline friend who won't push him around. He's also perfectly happy to be your one and only! 🩷

And we can't forget Buzzy's most distinctive (and arguably strangest) feature... HE HAS NO TAIL! Not even a little nub! Just look at that adorable little b***y! 🍑🤣

💔 Evie has been waiting for a home since 2023 and now she needs your help! 🙏

Evie came to Pets Alive WNY as a scared little kitten born to a feral mom. She and her siblings were fearful of people, and growing into confident, outgoing cats was never easy for them. But slowly, one by one, her siblings found their families...

All except Evie, who has been patiently waiting for her turn ever since..🥺

She's still a shy girl, but she's sweet and is just as deserving of love! ❤️

Recently, we noticed her coat looking disheveled and our petite girl looking even thinner. We discovered that Evie needs a dental procedure with multiple extractions, estimated at $1,500, not including pre-op lab work or follow-up care 😔

It's heartbreaking that after spending so much of her life waiting for a home, Evie is now facing another challenge while still living in a shelter. She deserves to feel better and receive the care she needs, even while she waits for someone to choose her 💔

Meet Fantasia, our beautiful black mama cat who survived life on the streets of Niagara Falls before finding her way to us! 💪🖤 She's a survivor, a mama, and a proud member of our Orange Collar Crew (our resident sass queens who aren't afraid to let you know who's really in charge)! 😼🧡

Fantasia has a very specific approach to making friends. First, she'll greet you warmly and ask for pets. You'll think you've made a new best friend! 🥰 And then, just when you're feeling all warm and fuzzy... WHAP! 💥 You get a nice little swat for your troubles! 😂

This , we're celebrating Fantasia and all the wonderful black cats who deserve to be loved for exactly who they are: sass, swats, and snark included! 🖤

We are so incredibly grateful for the adopters who have recently opened their hearts and homes to some of our more difficult to adopt kitties 🙏 The shy ones. The overlooked ones. The sassy ones, The ones who don't always catch someone's eye...

These cats are just as deserving of love as any kitten, but they often spend so much longer waiting for their person to come along. And when that person finally does, it's a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do! 🌈

Today, we're celebrating two very special girls: Sadie & Sue! 🐾🎉

These sweet girls were rescued from a rural property overrun with stray cats, where they endured litter after litter of kittens while struggling to find enough food and shelter to survive. When they came to us, they arrived with 12 kittens in their care. And here's the incredible thing: not one of those kittens was their own!But despite everything they'd been through, these girls helped care for 12 little babies who needed them 🥹

After all they'd endured together, we dreamed of finding Sadie and Sue a home where they could stay together, leave their difficult past behind, and finally enjoy their retirement in peace, with the comfort and companionship of one another.

But finding a home for two shy adult cats who had little experience living as house cats was no easy task. They weren't the kind of cats who would immediately run up to greet a stranger or demand attention. They needed someone willing to see beyond their shyness and recognize the two beautiful souls waiting underneath...

And now, THEIR DAY HAS FINALLY COME! 🌟

An amazing adopter has opened her heart and home to both girls, giving them the chance to begin this next chapter of their lives together. No more struggling to survive. No more endless litters of kittens to care for. Just a safe home, full bellies, cozy places to rest, and the chance to learn what it means to be someone's beloved pets

We cannot thank this adopter enough for seeing the value in these two girls and giving them the opportunity they've waited so long for. It takes a special kind of heart to choose the cats who might need a little extra time, patience, and understanding. And we are so grateful that Sadie and Sue's person found them! ❤️

Our little black kittens are working hard on getting big and strong so they can go to their forever homes! They are all growing into their little personalities.. our little boys are super cuddly and love to sit in everyone’s laps and purr. Our little girls are independent and love to play all day with toys and each other! We even have 2 little boys who adore the dog in the foster home ❤️ They are all getting used to having their nails clipped and our little fluffy babies are getting used to being brushed every day 🐱

Our resident troublemaker...Our mischief maker...Our larger-than-life personality...The one and only THOR is officially HOME! 🎉

But this adoption comes with a twist that makes it extra special… 🥹

Thor was adopted by his FORMER OWNER! 💕

Thor was adopted once before, but when life circumstances changed, he found himself back with us. But there was someone who never stopped thinking about this big boy… his former dad! ❤️

Fast forward to today, and Thor's former dad's wife had the BEST surprise in mind! She knew how much her husband had missed Thor, so when the time was finally right, she decided to bring them back together by adopting Thor for him! 🥰

Imagine being reunited with a cat you never forgot. And imagine being the person who gets to make that reunion happen! We have a feeling Thor is going to be keeping his new family on their toes for many years to come! 😂

Thor, you may be a troublemaker, a mischief maker, and a professional chaos coordinator, but you are SO loved. And this time, we know that you're right where you belong! 🧡

Welcome home, Thor! And to Thor's family, thank you for giving this big boy another chance and showing us that sometimes, the best happily-ever-after is finding your way back to the people who never forgot you! 🌈

This sweet, spunky, and undeniably ADORABLE girl is off to her forever home! 💓

Mia is about to start her next big adventure with a new kitty brother to play with, cuddle up to, and (of course) drive just a little bit crazy! 😹 We have a feeling the two of them are going to have lots of fun together! 💞

We couldn't be happier for this precious girl and her new mom as they begin their happily ever after! 🌈
