Pets Alive WNY Formerly known as Buffalo Humane, Pets Alive WNY expanded to Niagara County in 2011

Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety, and welfare of pets and people by taking in and placing homeless companion animals, encouraging and supporting spay/neuter, providing community outreach to ensure proper animal stewardship, and promoting rational and effective animal care and control policies at all levels of government.

As you know, we have A LOT of little mouths to feed around here and our kittens are absolutely flying through the wet food! 😋

Right now, we are especially in need of gravy-style wet food. Our biggest needs are:

🐾 Friskies Gravy Prime Filets, Meaty Bits and Shreds and Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers

With 100+ cats in our care, food disappears FAST, and every can donated helps keep bellies full and kittens growing big and strong 💪🩷

Seriously… how could anyone say no to this adorable little face?! 😍

Murphy was born in a garage to a feral mama, and when he first arrived at the shelter, he was understandably pretty scared. But thanks to a dedicated foster mom who gave him the time, patience, and love he needed, Murphy has finally come out of his shell! ❤️

These days, he’s a silly, playful, loving little guy who is ready to find his forever home! Murphy would love a home with another young kitty friend to show him the ropes and keep him company. Or, even better, he could go home with one of his equally adorable brothers, Luca or Leo! 💕

From a scared little garage kitten to a happy, playful sweetheart… Murphy just needs someone to give him the chance to keep blossoming! 🏵️

Coal came to us after being surrendered because someone in his family developed an allergy. We truly don’t think they could have given him up under any other circumstance, because this little guy has a way of winning over absolutely everyone he meets! 🥹

Coal is silly, playful, incredibly purry, and loves nothing more than being held and showered with attention. And that fur?! SO soft! 🥰

He is also a kitten on the go! 🚀 Coal has tons of energy and wants to be involved in everything, so he’ll need a family who can keep up with him. Ideally, he’d have another young, playful kitty friend who can match his energy and keep him company!

Shelter’s flooded again. 😔 Fourth time this summer and it’s definitely taking its toll on our kitties and volunteers. 💔 It constantly results in very long cleanup times, and our kitties don’t love the shop vacs running for hours. 😿

We are desperate to find a solution for this, and if anybody in the community with expertise in this field (flood prevention/mitigation) is willing to offer some guidance, I couldn’t begin to tell you how appreciated it would be!

🚨 Just a quick update for our supporters! Yesterday’s basket raffle winners are all matched up, and some of you already received a call from us today. The remaining basket winners will be called between tonight and Monday, and there will be a window to pick up the baskets for the winners. If a special need for a local delivery exists, we can make that happen as well!
