Cindy, who has been with us since we opened, became a Master Cat Groomer last year, and she’s now officially expanding her cat grooming business!
She is currently the only active Certified Feline Master Groomer (CFMG) in the state of Alabama, and only the 447th on the planet!

She’s located in Piedmont, about an hour away, but I can confidently say she is well worth the drive.

Since I have noticed several new visitors to my page and also coming up on my 1 year anniversary of earning my certification and opening Appalachian Cat Spa, I wanted to take a moment to re-introduce myself and say welcome! 🐾🐾
My name is Cindy. I am a certified feline master groomer - a specialized certification dedicated exclusively to grooming, handling, and coat care for felines. Achieving this credential through the National Cat Groomers Institute required extensive education and training which included mutiple written exams such as health and anatomy, breeds and colors, temperament and handling, bathing and drying, and clipper techniques.
To complete my certification, I traveled to Arizona for personalized private instruction (PPI) where I gained hands on training with a variety of breeds alongside an exceptional, highly respected certifier in the cat grooming industry.
Currently, I am the only active CFMG in the state of Alabama, and 447th in the entire world! My goal is to provide a calm, low stress environment that prioritizes your cat’s comfort, health, safety, and well-being in mind.
Whether your cat needs a bath and deshed, sanitary trim, nail clip, or help with matting/tangles, they will be handled with patience, compassion and a deep understanding of feline care.
I am honored to offer specialized services for feline grooming and bring this level of experience to cats here in Alabama.
