2021 Red Roan Mare
Beautiful mare that is very good natured and kind. She came out of the womb knowing how to run Barrels and we went along with the way that she wanted to run as it seemed to be an easy way of doing it for her as well as maybe a novice rider or an older rider that felt like they needed to hold the horn. She likes to be close to the barrels, and she likes you to run 1 handed with your hand on the horn and just put your hand forward and let her work.
She is very honest and easy, is quite quiet for a 4 year old but spicey sometimes and needs discipline at times. Runs very level and feels very smooth. We feel like she would be great for an older rider that needs a very smooth ride. She does like to paw sometimes and she is used to having hobbles on. She loads and unloads great, good for the farrier and a bath! Easy to haul and gets along with other horses. Consistently sound and has never been injected. On track for the 2026 futurities and currently as of August is about 1 second off fast times in time only. We purchased her mother, and she was in foal to her. We look forward to watching other colts out of her that we have bred run as well as her. Her mother has been the horse that I have run for the past few years as my illnesses were progressively getting worse. She took great care of me and placed in the 1 D with multiple jockeys. We believe that this filly has the perfect combo of being trustworthy to turn the barrel but is also free running. She does not seem to want to ever run by a barrel but stays upright and turns on her own at the correct point. If there was a 4 year old that would be good for a young rider she would be it. We have never experienced one as solid , consistent and honest as this filly.
