Meet the Owners Behind Modern Pawz 🐾

Hi everyone! We’re Melissa and Misael — the founders of Modern Pawz. We started this journey in 2021 after noticing the growing amount of medication being prescribed for dogs and wondering if there were more natural ways to support their health and well-being.

Our goal with Modern Pawz is to bring a more holistic approach to pet wellness by focusing on calmness, mobility, and overall quality of life. We truly believe that helping dogs stay active and balanced can make a huge difference in both their happiness and their lifespan.

Aside from running Modern Pawz, we both work full-time — Melissa in the healthcare field and Misael in mechanical engineering— but this small business is something we are incredibly passionate about. Building something meaningful for dogs and their families has been such a rewarding experience for us.

At home, we’re also proud dog parents to our three pups: Scar and Bruno (our pit mixes) and Melo (our Shih Tzu Maltese). They inspire everything we do and remind us every day why this mission matters.

When we’re not working or building Modern Pawz, you’ll usually find us baking together and spending time with our dogs.
