Why do horses matter for kids?

Because horses teach what classrooms can’t:
• Confidence through connection
• Responsibility through care
• Emotional awareness through trust
• Resilience through challenge

Time with horses builds stronger, more grounded young people—on and off the saddle.

It started with a ride.

In 1944, a group of local horse lovers rode through the Arroyo Seco to the Rose Bowl—creating what would become Rose Bowl Riders.

More than 80 years later, that same spirit still guides us.

Rooted in tradition. Driven by community.

For over 80 years, Rose Bowl Riders has connected people to horses, the outdoors, and each other—through leadership in horsemanship, accessibility, and sustainable equine care.

We’re not just a riding club. We’re a community.
