Our resident content contributor is at it again, this time with our girl Dally!!

Meet Dally ‘There Were Rules?’ The Great
Dally is a legend at this shelter.
She’s been here almost a year, and she’s the kind of dog who sees a fence and treats it as a negotiation.
Not an obstacle.
A negotiation.
She climbs tall fences with the leisure of one who hasn’t experienced consequences.
When she's feeling particularly rebellious, she likes to sprint over to the neighboring dog runs and challenge her shelter-mates like a cocky Nascar racer.
Running back and forth at their gates as she barks her challenge, the other dogs loudly accepting.
While shelter staff sigh and yell things like:
"Don't do it, Dally!"
Despite living on gravel, Dally is almost always dirty.
No one knows how.
Science has theories.
None have been confirmed.
She appears to possess an advanced degree in Shenanigans, and an unwavering commitment to keeping her humans entertained.
If your ideal dog is calm, predictable, and believes rules should be followed at all times...
Dally respectfully suggests you keep looking.
If, however, you've ever thought:
"I need more laughter in my life,"
Dally may be taking applications.

PALS is working with the City to trap, spay or neuter, and release feral cats. The problem is, they are sometimes hard to catch and not many people have live traps! If you have a live trap and would like to donate it to PALS so we can allow others the opportunity to get their neighborhood cats spayed and neutered, we would greatly appreciate it! They can be left at the shelter at your convenience! Thank you!!

One of our kennel workers wrote this about our boy, Spot.

His name is Spot.
A white dog with blue eyes like a tropical ocean.
But the first thing I noticed wasn’t his eyes.
It was how gently he touches you.
I went into his run to clean. He wagged his tail, happy to see me—but stayed low when I bent down, like he wasn’t quite sure yet if he could trust me.
I moved around the gravel, doing my work.
Then he came over and leaned softly against my leg.
Like a quiet thank you.
I actually gasped and looked over.
“Oh, I know. He’s wonderful,” Angela said. “I don’t know why he’s still here.”
Neither do I.
A few minutes later, Spot dropped low to the ground in a playful bow, like a puppy testing whether it was safe to be silly.
Spot came from a domestic violence situation, and his capacity for love and affection is enormous. He’s been at the shelter for two years.
If you’re looking for a dog who connects gently, come meet Spot.
