Bob is back for what I think is his fifth stay, and this sweet Cavapoo knows his way around our house. Especially the route to the nearest available human.

Mom was taking care of him, my Yorkie was available for socializing, but Bob preferred the people. Apparently, he booked the stay for the staff.

Cavapoos are known for being affectionate companions, and Bob takes that job seriously. He even slept with me, because providing love and supervision is clearly a 24-hour position.

Plenty of cuddles, luxuriously calm care, and Mom making sure he feels right at home. So grateful his parents keep trusting us with their sweet boy.

My Yorkie would like a word with the activities coordinator.

Janis is back for another stay at our house, and this precious pug girl has figured out exactly who’s in charge: my mom.

Mom runs the boarding care, I’m the helper, and Janis is management. Her main responsibilities include accepting kisses, requesting cuddles, and supervising anything that happens near the kitchen.

You’ll see my mom in the photos, happily spoiling Janis with love and kisses. Janis has raised absolutely no objections.

Luxuriously calm care and a whole lot of affection while her parents are away. We’re so grateful they trust us with their sweet girl.

The snoring? That’s Janis confirming she’s satisfied with the accommodations.

Back with Olive and Charley, two of the sweetest greyhounds you could ever meet. Gentle souls, loving company, absolute angels.

Until feeding time.

Then suddenly, I’m managing a household uprising led by two very long dogs who are convinced they have never been fed. Ever. In their entire lives.

My luxuriously calm care comes with cozy routines, plenty of love, and peace of mind for their parents. Olive and Charley’s contribution is making sure dinner is served promptly. Preferably yesterday.

So happy to be back with these two, and grateful their parents trust me with their sweet little food critics.

Zootie, the third little lady in this family, takes her role as my personal shadow very seriously. If I move, she moves. If I sit, she’s ready for cuddles. Personal space? Apparently we’re sharing that, too.

She absolutely loves kisses, and I’m fairly certain she considers every pause between them an administrative error.

I bring luxuriously calm care to every household I stay in, keeping pets loved and settled while their parents travel. Zootie helps by making sure I’m never left unattended.

So grateful her parents trust me with their sweet little crew. My heart is full, and my lap is fully booked.

Dim’s brother Oscar, my little Brussels Griffon friend whose face suggests he’s the homeowner and I’m here for my performance review.

Cuddles? Required. Attention? Naturally. Leaving my seat? Subject to his approval.

While his parents were traveling, I stayed home with these two, keeping their days cozy, calm, and comfortably under Oscar’s supervision.

Whether I’m staying with the dogs at home or traveling with them, that’s what luxury pet sitting means to me: loving care for them and peace of mind for their parents. I’m so grateful to be trusted with these little family members.

Oscar’s review is still pending. I’m hoping the cuddles earned me five stars.

It was so lovely to reunite with my little friend Dimsum last weekend. She’s the sweetest, most loving Brussels Griffon, and somehow I never get enough of her cuddles.

That wonderfully expressive face always looks like she has a few things to say. Mostly, “Why did you stop petting me?” and “Your lap appears to be available.”

A tiny girl with a big personality. Spending time with her never gets old.

Another four-day stay with my three little Brussels Griffon friends in South Tampa. 🤍

The overall vibe of this visit?

Cuddles.
Belly rubs.
Kisses.
Naps.
More cuddles.
And absolutely no unnecessary productivity.

These three have such a calming little energy about them that after four days together, I’m pretty sure I entered their lifestyle completely.

Something I love about Brussels Griffons is how incredibly people-oriented they are. They’re often described as “Velcro dogs” because they form strong bonds with their people and generally want to be wherever you are.

Preferably touching you.

They’re also incredibly expressive. Those big eyes, tiny beards and almost human-looking faces can communicate an entire opinion without saying a word.

And believe me… there are opinions. 😂

They may be small, but Griffons are intelligent, sensitive and packed with personality. They weren’t designed to admire life from across the room. They want to be part of everything.

Or, in our case, part of four wonderfully relaxing days filled with love, cuddles, belly rubs and kisses.

I think we all needed it. 🤍

Bella & Toto: tiny dogs, very important people. 🤍

I’ve been caring for these two Shih Tzu sweethearts in Parrish for quite a while now, and at this point, I’m pretty sure I work for them.

Bella and Toto are absolute loves, affectionate, adorable, and always happy to have their Lily time.

And the Shih Tzu personality makes me laugh because these little dogs have centuries of experience being spoiled. The breed originated in Tibet and was developed as a companion dog for Chinese royalty. They weren’t bred to hunt, herd cattle, or guard farms.

Their job was essentially:

Be beautiful.
Sit somewhere comfortable.
Receive affection.
Repeat.

Bella and Toto are doing an excellent job honoring their ancestors.

Shih Tzus are known for being affectionate, outgoing companion dogs who love being close to their people. And despite their tiny size, many have enough personality and confidence for a dog approximately six times their size.

Basically, they are little furry CEOs.

Bella and Toto have been such sweet, loving companions, and one of my favorite parts of pet sitting is exactly this — becoming a familiar person in a dog’s life instead of simply being “the sitter.”

They know me. I know them. And yes… I know exactly who is actually in charge of the house.

Spoiler: not me.
