Thank you for your help with Teddy girl! She has an upper respiratory infection, but with the proper meds she should be well enough to be spayed on September 10! She’s staying at the vet for initial treatment, but she’ll be with us next week. She is a sweetheart.

OmaGerd! I just packed away one of the 3 Timothy hay bales for storage because there was no way I could pick it up without separating it!
If you have several rabbits, or are a bunny or piggy parent, consider buying a chunk of this bale for 50 cents a pound!
My fosters and rescue peeps can get some at no charge, I’m just not sure how much room I have in storage for these things. I still have two more bales to pack up! I’m in Paradis, but work in Metairie La 70003 for pick up.

Almost DUMPED! This little girl was close to being lost forever, when a kind resident saw her being dumped at the end of her dead end street. This is a dwarf female, but we’re are out of space.
Poor baby needs a VET, and soon! Her eyes are cloudy and leaky, her nose is all crusty, and she’s having sneezing fits.
We could use a little help since we just got Coco spayed along with another tooth trim!

Janis Hoplin is singing the blues. She went on a Learn before you Leap trial and the dog got obsessed. 🤦🏼‍♀️
The kids were warned it might not work out. Janis had a good time for the week she spent there. The dogs did not faze her. Maybe she didn’t know that they wanted to eat her. She was a good girl and used her litterbox. The kids really enjoyed her. She even played fetch with a little yellow ball! The kids were sad that she had to leave, but at least she was able to get some play time!

I really messed up. Not only did I forget my wallet at home today ( dropped Coco off for surgery), but I forgot my phone in the truck when I got home. Now I messed up a rendezvous with one of our fosters who has 2 rabbits getting spayed in Baton Rouge in the morning.
I missed her call, she misunderstood my instructions and brought the bunnies to our meeting spot tonight, not for the morning. I need to get them from her before I meet Ms Cat tomorrow for their ride to the vet. She’s in Algiers and we are meeting in Kenner for 6:40 am.
Ugh! Where is my BRAIN!?!

EDIT: Noelle was kind enough to bring them this morning. The vet was overbooked, so the buns won’t be ready in the morning…

Sorry I took a break from my phone today. Wanted to let y’all know that Nibbles’ surgery went beautifully and she even got to go home the same day!!!
No cancer! No bleeding!
It was a “soft tissue tumor with secondary infection on the surface”.
All gone! Her momma cried with relief. 💖🥲 and she already made a payment toward the surgery cost!
Thank you for helping us to help others!

I can’t think of a good reason either. Thank God Yelena cared enough to take her home for food and safety. We will help nurse her back to health, spay, and find someone who deserves this ball of love. Wehave her now, but would be grateful for a full time foster to interact with her more. Thinking of naming her Twinkle✨.
