🐑 Caring for Alaska’s animals truly takes a village.
When Alice the sheep was injured, her journey to recovery became a team effort:
✨ Maurice, her loyal livestock guard dog, sounded the alarm.
✨ Alice was then taken to our hospital, where our team cleaned, clipped, and bandaged her wound.
✨ Our colleagues at Arctic Equine & Livestock Veterinary Hospital continued treatment with antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and daily bandage changes.
A month later, we're told Alice is back to grazing on Lazy Mountain with her herd, giving proof of resilience, teamwork, and the incredible healing ability of sheep 💙
We’re grateful for dedicated owners like Tara Po***ck, amazing partners in veterinary medicine, and, of course, hardworking animal companions like Maurice, who remind us that looking out for one another makes all the difference.
Because in Alaska, it really does take a village 🐾❤️
