Every dog deserves their moment in the spotlight — and on July 12th, ours are getting exactly that. Don't miss the most important dog show you'll attend this summer. 🐾

We've teamed up with Bunnell Library @ the Nexus Center for the 1st Annual Dog Show, where our adoptable pups will strut their stuff Westminster-style!

Come meet them, cheer them on, and maybe find your new best friend. Refreshments and snacks will be available, so bring the whole family for a fun afternoon you won't want to miss!

We’re making spay/neuter services even more accessible for our community!

✅ Pre-op exams are NO LONGER required!

🐾 Florida Animal Friend Spay/Neuter Grant — Funds Still Available! 🐾
Thanks to the generous support of Animal Friend, we still have funds to help pet owners who might otherwise be unable to afford sterilization services.

💙 The grant covers: ✔️ Spay/Neuter Surgery ✔️ Rabies Vaccination (Owners are only responsible for any additional vaccines, and the cost of a pre-op exam ONLY if your pet falls under the *high-risk category below).

⏳ Funds are limited and will expire once depleted. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible!

⚠️ *Terms apply: Pre-op exams are still required for higher-risk pets. This includes senior pets, brachycephalic breeds (those with flat faces), obese pets, in-heat or pregnant dogs and cats, and those with a history of medical issues.

🐾 Camp Paw Print Session 1 is almost here! 🐾

Camp Paw Print at Flagler Humane Society gives kids in grades 3rd–8th the chance to connect with animals, learn about compassion and care, and experience a summer they'll talk about for years to come.

From hands-on animal experiences and surprise guests to arts & crafts, outdoor games, and a ferry boat field trip to Fort Matanzas — every day is a new adventure. 🐱⛵🌿

🗓️ Session 1 | Grades 3rd–5th
June 29th – July 3rd | 9 AM – 4 PM
🗓️ Session 2 | Grades 6th–8th
July 13th – July 17th | 9 AM – 4 PM

🗒️ For a $40 fee, each cat will receive spay/neuter surgery, an ear notch, and a rabies vaccination.

💛 TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) works:
✔️ Reduces the number of litters over time
✔️ Helps control community cat populations
✔️ Improves the overall health of the cats
✔️ Saves lives right here in our community

We need your help to make a difference. If you spot community cats nearby, consider trapping them and bringing them to us on Wednesdays in June.

Behind every kennel door, there’s a quiet question on every animal’s mind:
“How much longer?”

All the animals at the shelter live with this question daily. They dream of being noticed and hope someone will give them a second chance.

For Luca, Molly, Rosé, Remi, and Rocky, every day is the same. They watch people walk by and wonder if today will be the day their lives change. None of them did anything wrong. Their lives were interrupted by moves, loss, or things they couldn’t control. Still, they wait, trust, and hope.

Meet five of our wonderful residents:

🐾 LUCA (1, 52 lbs): Luca was surrendered because his owner had to move. He’s young, smart, and full of energy. On walks, he looks to you, showing his loyalty and eagerness to learn. He knows basic commands and just needs some structure to thrive.

🐾 MOLLY (6, 38 lbs): Molly lost her home when a new baby arrived. The shelter can be overwhelming, so she might seem shy, but she’s gentle and affectionate. She walks nicely on a leash, is house and crate-trained, and has lived with dogs and cats. She would do best in a calm home with older kids.

🐾 ROSÉ (5, 49 lbs): Rosé’s life changed when her owner moved. She’s affectionate and energetic. She’s full of love and personality, and she’s looking for someone to give her the stability she needs.

🐾 REMI (4, 58lbs): Remi is healing after losing her owner, but she still has so much love to give. She’s fully trained, enjoys car rides, gets along with other dogs, and knows many commands. She just needs patience and a safe place to call home again.

🐾 ROCKY (6, 55 lbs): Rocky has been surrendered twice, but he remains gentle and steady. He walks calmly, takes treats gently, and loves to play. He’s house-trained and affectionate, just waiting for someone who will stay with him.

They aren’t looking for perfect homes.
They just need someone who is committed and will stay.

Come meet them. Talk to our adoption team, and our kennel crew will bring the dogs out so you can spend time with them. Sit with them and get to know them.

You can be the reason their wait is finally over.
