I’m going to be honest… I’m exhausted, drained, and feeling defeated. The last month has pushed us harder than I can even explain between emergency vet bills, kennel A/C issues, food costs, medications, property expenses, and trying to keep everything afloat while growing the rescue.

But everyone around me keeps reminding me that giving up is not an option… because these animals are counting on us. 🐾

I honestly didn’t want to make another donation post so soon because just a few months ago this community showed up for us in ways I could never fully express gratitude for. ❤️

But this past month has hit us HARD.

Between multiple emergency medical bills for dogs in our care, bulk food orders, medications, our kennel A/C going out, unexpected property expenses, and trying to get our thrift store up and running… we have been drowning in nonstop unexpected costs.

With the expansion of the property comes growing pains we simply did not anticipate this quickly.

And now… rent is due Monday, and we are nowhere near where we need to be. 😓

Truthfully, I am doing everything I possibly can. I’ve even started listing my own personal belongings and furniture for sale because giving up is NOT an option for me. When I took these animals in under Totally Fetch Animal Rescue, I made a promise to love them, protect them, and provide for them no matter what.

No matter how hard this gets… I will keep fighting for them. 🐾

Behind the scenes we ARE growing. We now have full access to the property, we’re expanding our daycare and boarding programs, and working hard to create long-term sustainability for the rescue. But right now, we need help getting through this storm.

I truly hate making another post like this so soon, especially after this community already showed up for us in ways I could never fully express gratitude for. ❤️

But this month has absolutely buried us with emergency medical bills, kennel A/C repairs, food orders, medications, unexpected property expenses, and costs from expanding the rescue and thrift store.

Rent is due tomorrow, and we are currently $3,500 short.

I am doing everything I possibly can, even selling personal belongings, because giving up is NOT an option. These animals depend on us, and I refuse to let them down.

I truly appreciate every single person who has supported us in the past. Every time we’ve asked for help, this community has shown up in ways I could never fully express or even imagine. ❤️

Unfortunately this time around… we aren’t making it.

Rent is due tomorrow, and this month has been emergency after emergency. Medical bills, facility expenses, repairs, supplies… every single thing has tapped into the rent funds for the rescue. 💔

At this point, somehow, someway, I need to come up with $3,500 by tomorrow.😓

Any help would truly be appreciated. Even suggestions, resources, fundraising ideas, or possible short-term loan options. I am open to anything right now. I refuse to fall behind and risk losing the roof over our heads because of one devastating month of nonstop problems.

I know this is just a bump in the road, and I know this too shall pass. Right now all I can do is stay positive, keep fighting, and focus on what’s in front of me. 🙏🏼

📣 Important Update 📱

We are STILL currently locked out of our iCloud account and it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with Apple 😩🍎

It’s now been over TWO WEEKS without my phone, so I sincerely apologize to anyone trying to get in touch with me. We still do not have access to calls, texts, contacts, and calendar information while trying to juggle our busy rescue and boarding schedule.

✨ Looking for a foster or adopter for Buddy ❤️🐾

Buddy is a red nose pittie with truly a heart of gold 🥇. Two summers ago, we were contacted about a stray dog living on the streets of Fort Pierce. He had become the neighborhood dog going house to house for food, attention, and love. 🥺🥺

But after people noticed how badly he was getting sunburned without proper shelter or shade, they started reaching out to rescues for help… That’s where we came in….

When we picked Buddy up, the whole neighborhood came together to say goodbye to him. ❤️

Buddy absolutely LOVES people. He loves meeting new friends, showing off his toys, and sitting in front of you with his tail wagging nonstop just waiting for attention.

✅ Neutered
✅ Vaccinated & microchipped
✅ Full vet clearance before placement

Buddy has now spent TWO YEARS in a rescue environment, and a dog this loving deserves a real home. 🙏🏼🐾

🚨 URGENT VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED 🚨

Our in-wall A/C unit in the kennel area has officially given out on us 💔 With this Florida heat, this is an immediate concern for the safety and comfort of our dogs.

We already have a brand new replacement unit ready to go! We just need someone with handy skills (carpentry / general construction / install experience) who can help us securely install it into the wall opening so it is properly supported and won’t shift or fall out.

If you or someone you know can volunteer a little time to help us ASAP, please message us directly. Even sharing this post could help us find the right person quickly.

This is the reality of rescue right now. 💔

While our intake department at Totally Fetch Animal Rescue is currently CLOSED due to extremely slow adoptions, limited funding, and dogs that have been sitting with us for months, some even over TWO YEARS!!Emergencies and cruelty cases are still happening every single day. 💔😥

And that’s where amazing rescues like Mable’s Mission step in.

Kya came from a cruelty case with severe medical damage requiring immediate emergency care, surgeries, daily bandage changes, and around-the-clock attention just to save her life. Thank goodness the team at Mable’s Mission said YES when she needed them most. 🐺❤️‍🩹

A lot of people ask why rescues can’t “just take one more dog.” This is why!

Medical cases like this cost THOUSANDS of dollars in just days. Rescue is not just love and good intentions… it is funding, fosters, vet care, time, transportation, rehabilitation, and long-term commitment.

Even though I cannot financially take on major medical cases at this time, I can still help provide “the care” AKA foster!! I’m proud to work alongside my friends at Mable’s Mission by helping house Kya, care for her daily, transport her to appointments, and watch her slowly heal, thrive, and hopefully one day find the loving home she deserves. 🥹

THIS is why fostering matters.

Prayers for Kya as she undergoes surgery. I’m anxiously waiting to pick her up 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹🏥

‼️KYA IS CURRENTLY IN SURGERY & NEEDS YOUR HELP‼️

Kya, the husky from the cruelty case, is in her SECOND surgery needed to save her life. Last week she got one surgery at PEMC ($1,040) to remove the necrotic tissue on her backside. She’s been going in for daily bandage changes, until today, when she had to see a surgeon.

She is now with Dr Hanson at ECVS, a wonderful surgeon that is essentially trying to put Kya back together. He is going to try to repair the tissue, close the wound, and place a drain for proper healing. Th estimate for today was $1,500. Between the two surgeries and other vet visits, the cost to save her has reached $2,750.

She has gotten up every day to fight, so we are fighting alongside her. Can you please donate and share to help her?

THEIR FAVORITE PART OF THE DAY COULD BE YOU!🦮

Totally Fetch Animal Rescue is looking for volunteer dog walkers to help give our rescue dogs the exercise, enrichment, and love they deserve while they wait for their forever homes.

Whether it’s a slow sniff walk, fast-paced walk around the lake, or just spending one-on-one time with someone who cares, these dogs truly look forward to getting out and exploring. ❤️

We are looking for:
🐶 Dog lovers
🐶 Volunteers comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and personalities
🐶 People willing to commit to a 2/3 hour shift
🐶 Team players who want to make a real difference

Dog handling experience is preferred, especially for stronger or high-energy dogs!

Volunteering doesn’t just help the dogs, it helps the rescue continue saving more lives!
