I have been lucky enough to start this sweet boy to grooming, when he was a little baby. He’s now 1 year/5 months old, and falls asleep in my hand while sc******ng. Just another example of why starting them early pays off! It creates a great appointment for both your pet and your groomer! Please do NOT let a breeder tell you a doodle (or any breed for that matter) is “low-maintenance” or “doesn’t need grooming for a year”…it’s just not true.

A little transparency from your groomer… ❤️🐾

We haven’t done a general price increase since the beginning of the year. However, while reviewing our appointments recently, we discovered a few pricing discrepancies that needed to be corrected.

We understand that seeing a different price than you’re used to can be frustrating, and we never want anyone to feel caught off guard. Please know that these corrections aren’t random, and they certainly aren’t because we want to charge more. They’re simply to ensure that every pet is priced fairly and consistently based on the size, coat, condition, time, and work required for their groom.

The truth is, the cost of operating a small business continues to rise. Electricity, water, rent, insurance, grooming products, blades, clipper and shear maintenance, equipment, laundry, and everyday supplies all cost significantly more than they did just a few years ago. The cost of living has gone up for everyone, including small business owners.

We don’t enjoy adjusting prices. In fact, we put it off as long as we reasonably can. But in order to continue providing safe, high-quality grooming, investing in our equipment, maintaining our salon, and paying our team fairly, our pricing has to reflect the true cost of the services we provide.

We are incredibly grateful for every family that trusts us with their pets. Your support allows a local, family-owned business to continue doing what we love every day, and we never take that for granted.

🐶 Start Young. Grooming Isn’t Just About Looking Cute. 🐶

Jett’s owners started him as a pup, and it has paid off! He’s so comfortable and confident in the table.

One of the biggest gifts you can give your puppy is a positive introduction to grooming early in life.

Breeds like Poodles, Doodles, Shih Tzus, Bichons, Yorkies, and other dogs with continuously growing coats don’t just benefit from grooming. They depend on it for their comfort and health.

Puppies who start grooming young learn that being brushed, bathed, dried, having their feet touched, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and faces groomed is just a normal part of life. Those little appointments build confidence one visit at a time.

Waiting until they’re older often means they’re stronger, more fearful, and much more difficult to groom. A dog that panics on the table isn’t being stubborn. They’re simply overwhelmed by an experience they’ve never learned to trust.

Home brushing is just as important as professional grooming. Even the best groomer can’t prevent painful matting if a coat isn’t maintained between appointments. Mats pull on the skin every time your dog moves and can quickly become painful.

For most high-maintenance coats, we recommend:
🐾 First puppy visit around 10 to 16 weeks (after your veterinarian says it’s safe).
🐾 Puppy “happy visits” to get used to the sights, sounds, and handling.
🐾 Professional grooming every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on coat type and desired length.
🐾 Regular brushing at home between appointments.

The goal isn’t just a beautiful haircut.

It’s a dog who walks into the salon with confidence, stays comfortable throughout their life, and can be groomed safely and stress free for years to come.

A little time invested as a puppy can make a lifetime of grooming easier for your dog, your groomer, and your family. ❤️
