The July 4th weekend will be here in just a few days and we want to help our furry friends prepare for a successful and stress free holiday! Here are some tips for keeping your furry family members safe:

1) Make sure your pet is microchipped with UPDATED contact info and their collar has a tag with your name and phone number.

2) When the fireworks start make sure your pets are confined in a safe place indoors. If you have to leave your pet, turn on the tv or radio to help distract them from the noise.

3) Speak with your veterinarian about anti-anxiety medication or natural remedies for your pet prior to festivities involving fireworks or other loud noises. The early the better!

4) If having guests over for the holiday, remind them to keep their food away from your pet and be sure to close gates and doors behind them.
