Found abandoned in the woods in Calhoun County, Snowball may have been abandoned — but his spirit never wavered. From the moment he arrived at Wellery Farms Animal Sanctuary, he’s been all tail wags, big smiles and boundless energy.

With his snowy white coat, speckled spots and goofy grin, Snowball is the definition of joy. He loves everyone he meets — humans, dogs and probably even squirrels! Whether it’s a belly rub, a game of chase or simply being by your side, Snowball is always all in.

Yesterday we partnered with Girl Gains of Ole Miss for a fun and relaxing yoga session — and our Calhoun puppies Daisy, Finley, Clara, and Sunny came along for the adventure! From the Well House to Plein Air, these playful pups kept everyone smiling, stretching, and soaking up the sunshine. 💛

It was the perfect reminder of how much joy and healing dogs can bring into our lives.

Welcome to Wellery Farms Animal Sanctuary in Oxford, Mississippi. We are an extension of Wellery Farms -- a new Wellness and Recovery Community that integrates nature, agriculture and therapeutic practices to promote physical, emotional and mental well-being.

Meet Roscoe, one of the very first pups we took in who was found starved and abandoned in the woods. Roscoe was adopted by one of our team members and enjoys morning runs on the farm.

Studies have proven that interacting with animals reduces anxiety and increases levels of serotonin that promotes feelings of happiness and relaxation. Just as people are healing from past struggles, rescued animals often come from neglect or trauma themselves. Witnessing an animal’s transformation — gaining trust, regaining health and finding peace — mirrors the journey of recovery and reinforces the belief that healing is possible for both. Come follow our pawsitively amazing journey!
