We’re a locally owned and operated vet practice in Owego dedicated to giving your pets the best care possible.

We love to goof around and have fun, but on a serious note we are extremely proud have grown our practice over the last few years to offer urgent care (without needing to be an established patient prior), exotics care, state of the art surgery suite and capabilities, an on-site doggy daycare, and so much more!

If your pet is already an established patient with us, you already know how much we appreciate the trust you put in us. If you’ve never been here before, we would love to meet you and your pet! We are accepting new clients and urgent care visits daily.

“Finding Dr.Brass & Staff was such a breath of fresh air. My bunny Sneakers recieved the highest quaility of care with many options. Dr.Brass listens to your concerns and that is so nice compared to many other vets. Sneakers went to a different vet numerous times, being treated for something that wasn’t present, more than once, and also would not listen to our concerns. Sneakers and I thank Dr.Brass & Staff SO SO MUCH for helping us figure out what was going on. Such a weight lifted off our shoulders 🙏💙”

You might think shaving down your dog’s coat in this hot weather will help them stay cooler, but for certain breeds that’s actually exactly what you shouldn’t do!

For double-coated breeds like Huskies, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, and Labs, that fluffy undercoat is there for a reason.

It helps regulate body temperature and protects their skin from sunburn. Brushing, not shaving, is the best way to keep them cool and comfortable in this summer heat! 🌞
