Happy Trails Animal Rescue is a 501c3 Non Profit Animal Rescue servicing dogs in need in Central Florida - we currently service Osceola, Orange and Seminole Counties. We are a foster based rescue network - meaning our dogs are located in foster homes throughout Central Florida and not at a shelter facility. All adoptions, surrenders and other services must be done by appointment only - the best wa

y to reach us is via email at [email protected] or by calling 407-270-7074. Our primary focus is rehabilitating dogs in public animal control shelters that are struggling with behavioral and medical concerns due to cruelty and neglect - we specialize in behavioral rehabilitation. We are limited on the number of animals we have availability to house and animals in danger of euthanasia in public shelters take first priority - we try to offer as much assistance to pet owners in the community as possible, including assistance with training, veterinary services, and networking dogs in need of new homes. We are here to help! We are excited to have opened a first of its kind resource center for pet owners in Central Florida! At this location we offer a pet pantry with food, treats, toys, prevention and other supplies for pet owners going through financial challenges. We also offer free and low cost dog training programs, free grooming clinics, free educational classes and seminars, a service dog program, assistance with funding for veterinary emergencies, and more! For more information please visit our website. We are proud to service the Central Florida area and hope to be a part of big things in your community. Thank you for supporting rescue!

💥Meet: Krash💥
This very big boy is actually just a baby! He recently turned a year old and unfortunately hadn't met very many people outside of his household in his young life - so he's learning to have positive, pressure free interactions with strangers so that hopefully soon he will be ready to meet a furever family. 🥹🙏

A lot of puppies that don't get out and about around lots of new people and new places (and even some that do!) when they are learning about the world, can develop some nervousness and stress around new people and new situations. Imagine how you'd feel if you had never left the house (like, EVER!) and then went out into the world at 18? Crazy!

If you have a dog that hasn't had much exposure to the outside world and has become nervous, our low cost training programs might be able to help you both learn more about having positive experiences and learning to love new people and new things.

Call our office at 407-270-7074 for info on setting something up. 🥰

🚨NEW ARRIVALS🚨
Taroch (7 year old Rottweiler) and Bua (8 year old Black Mouth Cur) are the newest additions to our rehoming program. Their owner is moving overseas next spring and unable to take them where she is going.

Both dogs are:
✅️ Super friendly
✅️Housebroken
✅️Crate trained
✅️Dog friendly
✅Kitty cat friendly
️✅️100% good boys
✅️Best with older kids

While they get along great, they are very independent and not bonded and could go to a home together or be adopted separately.

If you're interested in adopting either (or both) of these big handsome boys, please fill out an adoption application at HTARFL.org

🚨FOSTER URGENTLY NEEDED🚨
Rye is only a year old and she has been in 3 different homes and in the shelter twice already. She originally arrived to Orange County Animal Services as part of a litter, and we have had the privilege of watching some of her littermates grow up in our training classes - it breaks our heart that Rye hasn't had the same safety and stability in her young life.

We would like to get her out of the shelter and ensure she doesn't ever find herself back there again, but we need a foster family. Rye is dog friendly! She is a shy/nervous puppy who could use a patient, quiet environment to help her come out of her shell.

About fostering:
✔️ Completely free!
✔️ Average of a 3 to 6 month commitment until the dog finds a home
✔️ Rescue provides everything - crate, food, supplies, medical care, training, anything she needs!
✔️ Foster gets first option to adopt their foster dog, with no adoption fee - so foster to adopt can be a GREAT option. You get to test run whether she is the right fit for you, if not we work to find her a permanent home.

MUST be in the Greater Orlando area (our office and veterinary office are located in East Orlando, so must be able to travel to this area for her veterinary care, training and adoption meetings as needed).

If you can open your home to Rye, please reach out to us. 🙏🙏🙏

If you can't foster, please share her need.

🚨LET'S MAKE HER FAMOUS🚨
Coco has been failed by humans over and over and over again. It has to end with us.

In 2023, Coco found herself at animal control where she was placed on the list for euthanasia. Someone came and adopted her in her final hour, that should have been her happily ever after.

Instead, two years later, the adopter tied her up to the fence of that exact same shelter after hours, and abandoned her there.

Once again, she found herself scheduled to die.

A rescue stepped in and she was safe again. But, that small fledgling rescue was overwhelmed and she got transferred to yet another rescue. Then, her new rescue shut down....

We stepped in for Coco, her THIRD rescue in under a year. A lifetime in and out of a shelter and rescue system, bouncing around, her future uncertain.

We have made a promise to Coco that she will not see another shelter or rescue, that we are going to get her into a permanent, forever home.

Which is where you come in..... let's share Coco and help her find the forever family she has deserved all along. We know an amazing home is out there waiting to see her sweet face. Share, share, share!!!

Coco is 9 years old and a housebroken, super well behaved girl. She loves dress up and lounging on the couch eating snackies. She needs to be the one and only pet in the home. She is located in Orlando, Florida.

Coco also has her annual vet visit coming up, in addition to her regular care and expenses. Donations are always appreciated. 🥹🙏

THE BEST PUPDATE!!!!!! 🥰
You guys are AWESOME. All of your shares that caused Tater Tot to go viral, led to an amazing family seeing her story and driving all the way up from Tampa to meet her - and they fell in love. 🥰😭 Our girl is ADOPTED and headed home to be the queen of her new castle as a spoiled only princess. We are so, so, so happy and grateful. 🎉

Sweet Coco is a statistic. She has been in danger of euthanasia at animal control TWICE. We are her 3rd rescue. It is our promise to Coco that the system ends here, that she will never see another shelter or rescue again - that she will find a HOME. Coco is located in Orlando, Florida and she needs to be the only pet. If you're interested in giving her a forever home, please apply HTARFL.org
