A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make our annual rummage sale a success! Every single person who volunteered to organize donations and run the sale, every person who took time to clean out their homes and generously give their items to sell, and everyone who came to shop to support our cause - TOGETHER, we raised $5,697 to help our mission to help animals in need. 🥰
It costs us roughly $45,000 annually to keep the doors open to our community resource center - this includes things like rent, utilities, internet, insurance, etc. Fundraisers like this help us have funds to cover that overhead so that all of our resouce center programs can exist for our community. Without our resource center facility, the pet pantry, training programs, free grooming clinics and all of the other resources and support we provide there through answering the phones and interacting with pet owners in need, would not exist. These overhead expenses are one of the hardest things to raise funding for - grants generally do not fund overhead, and it is harder to get donor support directly for overhead costs. Your support of fundraisers like these is the only way we keep the doors open to these critical resources for our community.
