Half-Way Home Animal Rescue (Illinois) We are a foster-based, non-profit, all breed animal rescue Together we are saving hundreds of animal lives annually.

Our Monday Magnificent Muzzle is Dan. Dan has a plan and that plan is to show the world that although he has some vision impairment, he joyfully goes about living life to the fullest👏. (PLEASE take a look at his playful, happy self in the video in the comment section below🥹). He will focus on people, other dogs in his play group, and even chase after and retrieve toys. Dan is an 8 -month- old Aussie (Australian shepherd) mix, who weighs about 30-35 pounds. Even though he is from a double merle breeding, his hearing seems just fine (of all frequencies and volumes). He is very outgoing and loves to explore, sometimes do zoomies, and play with other dogs/ pups…his vision doesn’t seem to slow him down at all. He loves to play and cuddle with his humans🤗. He is a very comical boy,😂 with a great personality. Dan is SUPER sweet and once you see him you will fall in love.💘
🌟Dan is crate trained (sleeping quietly through the night), and is house trained also. He is doing well with walking on a leash and knows basic commands. He has good manners, including not jumping on people/things.

👩‍❤️‍👨Friday’s Fabulous Felines Are 2 yr-old Diva (pink ears) - Female and 2 yr-old Doc - Male

Doc and Diva have grown to be the best of buds and are closely bonded. As siblings do, they look out for each other and love each other's company. Diva is an in-charge kinda gal. She is noisy and playful and very smart.🤓 She enjoys spending her days checking in on her foster family following people all over the house. Diva enjoys daily games of fetch. She is a close cuddler.🤗 She likes to cuddle up as close as she can and make her love known. Doc is a playful boy. He loves playing with toys that require him to jump.🦘 He loves naps. He keeps a careful eye on the outside and loves a good open window. Doc checks to make sure his siblings and foster family have a good amount of snuggles and love each day.

Monday’s Magnificent Muzzle, Wes is a 15-week-old beagle mix puppy with an extraordinarily marvellous sable coat🧥. Pictures don’t do him justice. Take a look at his video in the comments below. This little guy is super sweet and loves everyone he meets. He loves all the toys he can find to play with🧸. Wes loves to run and wrestle with his siblings and then settle in for a long nap🛌. He also enjoys some belly rubs in your lap. Wes sleeps through the night in a pen. He is making terrific progress with house training. Introducing Friday’s Fantastic Feline - Katana 🌼

Meet Katana, a beautiful petite “people-person/cat”. Katana is a 21 month-old old tortoiseshell looking for someone to love, adore and play with. She is very sweet, affectionate, and has a gentle personality. Katana would be content to constantly be with you either following you around the house or sitting with you watching tv. Her foster mom describes her as one of the most loving cats she has ever fostered. “She loves to rub her face against mine and enjoys being cuddled in my arms like a baby.” She will take a break to look out the window and see what interesting things are going on outside. She also likes to stretch out in the sun☀️ and take a nap. 💤

18 DAYS‼️STILL LOST‼️PLEASE SHARE

👀 If you live in or around Orland Park PLEASE keep an eye out for this cocker spaniel. She was spotted last week so we KNOW she’s still out there.

📸 Check doorbell cameras especially at night or early in the morning. We know she’s desperate for food and may start coming out into more populated areas, especially during quiet times of the day.

❓Ask friends and neighbors in the area if they have seen her. A last known location will help!

❌ Do NOT drive around or call out looking for her. If she feels hunted in any way she will bolt.

📞 CALL or TEXT either number on the flyer with any sightings asap and do not approach this scared dog.
