I finally found Buddy's hiding spot! 🤦‍♀️ AMD confined him. As long as he doesn't escape again.

You know, I purposely work with ALL the cats so I can grab and take them to the vet when it's important and Buddy here seems to remember when he doesn't feel well, that means a vet trip because he was avoiding me HARD. If I had the carrier, he vanished completely. And he'd stay gone for over 12 hours. Only showing up at work when I DON'T have the carrier and can't do much except feed him when I have a second.

He's never been so difficult to catch. Ever. 😭

So, his swelling HAS gone down, so I didn't take him to the emergency vet, just cost wise I'm already pretty screwed. He's also got some sort of dermatitis which will need antibiotics.

But I THINK he has an abscessed/infected tooth.

Which means another cat needs a dental done. 😭 That I got to somehow pull the money out of my ass for. 😭 Buddy won't be as expensive as a stomatitis case unless he also has stomatitis. But I literally have two stomatitis cases I'm getting nowhere fundraising for! 😭

But let's see what the vet says tomorrow morning. 😭

I need help getting Buddy to the vet. His jaw is extremely swollen and painful. Not broken, probably an abscess... IG won't let me post a video right now and I'm trying to catch him right now.

I'm going to have to choose between cat food for 27 cats and flea meds and bills and taking Buddy to the vet. Because if it is an abscess that's going to require anesthesia and a procedure and blood work because of his age.

An unexpected highway kitten rescue! 🤦‍♀️

I took Tom to the vet for his mouth and URI, then picked up Stella's steroids. I'll post receipts later. We're still fundraising for his and Stella's dentals, so see bio link or message me for the vet info.

Steve here likes hanging around people but he's definitely not a cuddly, overly friendly or touchy cat.

And he's so chill and unbothered by life at all.

The only time I saw him DO anything was when he fought a cat because testicles and when he started playing with rodents. 🤦‍♀️ Otherwise... he's just... there. 😅 In the way.

We're still fundraising for Tom and Stella's dental!

I'll be having a couple more kittens picked up at the beginning of May for adoption, I hope! 🤞 I need less cats. Before more are dropped off. 😭

I'm also worried about the new dumped pet. I think he knocked over some hay and he's been missing all day. I'm hoping he just got scared fingers I find him tonight.🤞

Poor Stella is having mouth pain and it's time for another vet visit for steroids. (It gets worse than in the video, I just don't want to take her off steroids to show you.)

My birthday was yesterday and all I want is to get Stella and Tom their dentals, so I created a GoFundMe to do so.

You can find the fundraiser in my bio link or at gofund.me/51c4aba75. There's other options too there if you don't like GFM, because I get it, not a fan myself. 😅 But for large projects, people prefer it.

Both cats have stomatitis and on pain management steroids (that has just been wasting money while I try to get money together for dentals that never happened because I have a cat dumping issue. 😭) but we REALLY need to do it.

I'm going to bring Tom into the vet tomorrow. We need more steroids and antibiotics. Tom also needs senior bloodwork prior to the dental and has already had half his teeth pulled previously, so won't be as expensive as Stella.

I'll update tomorrow with Tom's vet visit.

In case you don't know, an eartip is the universal sign of a free-roaming cat having been neutered. It's done in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) to help control outdoor cat populations and improve their quality of life.

I will hopefully be able to find a home for Steve eventually, but I've got to wait for the testosterone to get out of his system first. 🤞

I'm not a negative person and I hate fundraising with a fiery passion and all my posts were me overwhelmed and needing help. So I took a break from posting. I continued running the Facebook group for the cats that needed help.

I already had 20 cats when those 16 kittens were dropped of. 😭 I was already struggling.

If we had a local shelter that took cats, I would have 100% taken the dumped kittens there as I was WAY too overwhelmed to handle more.

Yet I was forced to handle more. 😭

I had to stop feeding my indoor fosters wet food entirely, go to cheaper flea meds (BIG mistake), and I tried all year to get a large rescue organization to take kittens. But that meant no more vet care, sometimes running out of wet food for days at a time, and really struggling.

I got everyone fixed thanks to our local clinic doing it for extremely cheap or free for me and I FINALLY got another organization to take in a couple kittens for adoption and until they get overwhelmed with kittens, they're going to continue to take in a couple here or there. Progress, finally.

But I've gotten concerned messages on a couple of my platforms and I wanted to give an update! Even if it's not a terribly great one.
