📣 Scooby did great in surgery, and we’re sending a big hug (and kiss!) to Dr. Karen and the amazing team at Bellevue Animal Clinic for their top-notch care! 😍👏👏
This sweet boy has been through so much. It's hard to imagine him scavenging for food with his severely fractured femur—but he knew just where to go, showing up at the Foret house right before Easter. You won’t find bigger animal lovers than Jessica and Dominick! 💗
When they reached out for help, they were headed out of town for two weeks of work. But thankfully, foster James Moran stepped up and offered to help, and the Forets got Scooby to the ER on Easter where X-rays revealed a serious, previously exposed femoral fracture. Due to infection risk and healing time, the safest option was amputation—so Scooby can start his new life on the right paw.
He’s still in ruff shape and battling some bloody GI issues (not parvo, thankfully), so he’ll remain in the hospital for a few more days.
We’re so grateful to the whole Bellevue team (yes, Dr. Kevin too! 😉) for always treating our angels like their own.
💫 A little lagniappe: Dr. Karen is the daughter of our dear friend Dr. Sandy, who we worked alongside for many years at St. Tammany and Tangi and is now launching Graceful Pets, Robbins Veterinary Services. And Dr. Karen’s sister? She’s with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office! 💙🐾
