Subject: Exciting news from Thornton Animal Hospital!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Emily Benson has joined our team of veterinarians at Thornton Animal Hospital and will begin seeing patients on June 23rd! Dr. Benson is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and is very excited to join the team at Thornton Animal Hospital in June! She values client education, soft tissue surgeries, and making connections with both pets and their owners. When not at work, you will find her on the pickleball court, baking something new at home, watching the Dawgs play, or spending time with her husband and four animals: Ollivander (pictured), Velma (dog), Mango (sweet cat), and Kimchi (crazy cat).

Dr. Benson is dedicated to providing exceptional care to all our furry friends. She demonstrates a commitment to the same core values that has made Thornton Animal Hospital successful for so many years. Honesty, integrity, kindness and quality compassionate care is at the core of our beliefs. We are confident you'll be as impressed as we are.

Please note that on Monday, May 26th, our office will be closed for Memorial Day and we will reopen on Tuesday, May 27th at 7:30 am. There will be no boarding pickups available on Memorial Day.

Our normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to Noon.

If your pet has a medical emergency, please call the Auburn University Small Animal Emergency Clinic at 334-844-4690. If Auburn University is unable to take your emergency, we are also recommending Carriage Hills Emergency in Montgomery at 334-277-2867 or Rivertown Veterinary Emergency in Columbus at 706-507-1707.

Due to the possibility of wintery weather and icy roads, for the safety of our staff and clients/patients, TAH plans to delay opening until 9:00am on Friday, January 10th. Please check back for any changes to our operating hours tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving from your doctors and staff at Thornton Animal Hospital. This Thanksgiving, we are thankful for each of you and your pets that we get to call our own.

Our offices are closed today and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will resume normal business operations on Saturday morning from 8:00am-Noon. For your convenience, although we are closed on Friday, we have added a boarding pickup on Friday from 4:00-4:30 pm.

She warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within….” Happy Halloween from Dr. Moore and family! Little sister obviously picked the costume theme again and alllllll the boys were such troopers ❤️💛🌹 We won’t embarrass the teenager this year though. Happy Halloween 2024 from our TAH family to yours.

She has it all... grit, determination, beauty and brains! She is one of the hardest workers ever employed at Thornton Animal Hospital..... and one of the sweetest. She loves your babies and we love her for it!! Xaira has held three jobs while being enrolled in school and she is the first to volunteer when the extra mile is needed. Not only is she one of our part-time Veterinary Assistants, she is in the United States Army (notice her outfit choice in her headshot :) and she has since become a local recruiter for the Army. Please wish her luck in competing for the 2024 Miss Alabama USA title tomorrow at the Gouge. We are rooting for you, Xaira, and you will always embody what a hardworking and deserving Miss Alabama USA should be. You represent the USArmy and Thornton Animal Hospital so well.
